For forward-thinking and results-focused leaders, this is an opportunity to join the Financial and Regulatory Reporting (FRR) team of Canada’s largest bank—recognized globally for innovation, diversity, and corporate responsibility. As a key leader in Financial and Regulatory Reporting, you’ll drive finance transformation, operational excellence, and strategic collaboration with senior executives across RBC. This high-visibility role demands forward-thinking leadership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What Will You Do?
Accountable for:

Finance Transformation

  • Spearhead initiatives to modernize financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
  • Leverage automation tools (e.g., RPA), AI, and cloud platforms to streamline workflows and enhance data integrity.
  • Partner with IT, Data, and Finance teams to design scalable solutions aligned with RBC’s digital goals.

Governance & Risk Management

  • Align transformation with internal control frameworks (SOX/non-SOX compliance).
  • Implement risk-based controls and monitor emerging risks.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Mentor finance professionals through personalized development plans.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture aligned with RBC’s values.
  • Promote work-life balance and employee well-being initiatives.

Process Engineering & Continuous Improvement

  • Design scalable workflows to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
  • Drive Agile/Lean methodologies and establish KPIs for operational excellence.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead cross-functional projects and communicate changes effectively to ensure adoption.

What Do You Need to Succeed?
Must-Have:

  • CPA designation or equivalent + 10+ years’ experience in finance/controls.
  • Expertise in disclosure requirements, SOX compliance, and financial systems.
  • Proven leadership in managing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize executive-level requests under pressure.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Knowledge of automation tools, systems, and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
  • Canadian financial institution business/transaction knowledge.
  • Advanced project management and change management skills.
