Reporting to the Vice President, CFO Functions & Delivery Excellence, we are seeking a Director to join our Functions and Technology Finance Performance Management team. This is a critical leadership role that will partner closely with senior stakeholders across Finance and HR and BMCC.
Performance Management:
- Lead, develop and deliver analysis and actionable information to support all financial planning and forecasting processes, across HR and BMCC. Analyzing and interpreting financial information for planning and control purposes.
- Provide financial insights to HR and BMCC Operating Committee, to enable strategic decisions on investments, hiring and cost management. This includes financial modeling and business cases for new investment approvals through SOWs and PARs as well as investments to build, integrate and deploy new technologies as applicable to RBC businesses.
- Lead the discussion with the business segment and their respective finance teams on all aspects of allocated costs; Identification and escalation of opportunities and risks to achievement of stated financial targets.
- Analyzing and interpreting financial information for planning and control purposes.
- Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the finance staff and providing guidance for their professional development.
Financial Governance:
- Partner with Financial Control to ensure effective controls and governance oversight, Foster an environment of financial discipline, transparency and accountability.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and implement changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness. This includes:
- Leveraging automation technologies to simplify and streamline financial processes
- Implementing quality monitoring, demand management, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure financial performance
- udgeting process including analysis and review of financial information and its impact on the business.
- Analyzing and interpreting financial information for planning and control purposes.
- Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the finance staff, and providing guidance for their professional development.
