Major Duties:
Qualifications: RESUMES MUST BE TWO PAGES (OR LESS). QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Extensive knowledge and work experience at ascending levels of responsibility in the fields of business, financial management, and/or accounting. A strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and experience preparing accurate financial statements and ensuring compliance. Demonstrated ability to create, analyze, and interpret financial statements and experience with identifying financial health and discrepancies. Proficiency in auditing which includes examining financial records, testing internal controls, and verifying financial accuracy. Knowledge of creating and managing budgets, forecasting future financial performance, and calculating interest. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. At least one year of supervisory experience. Degree in accounting and/or a Certified Public Accountant certification (CPA). HIGHLY QUALIFYING CRITERIA: SUPPLEMENTAL HIGHLY QUALIFYING NARRATIVE REQUIREMENT: To receive consideration as a highly qualified candidate, applicants must upload separate written statements (narrative format) describing accomplishments based upon each item below. You must address each item separately, not to exceed five pages; no more than one page per narrative. Each accomplishment should be clear, concise, and emphasize your level of responsibilities, the scope and complexity of programs/issues managed, and results of your action. Narrative responses will not be reviewed in the initial rating of your application. The qualification requirements stated above must be clearly addressed in your resume. Narrative 1: Expertise in risk management / internal controls, auditing and regulatory compliance (GAAP) and experience implementing robust internal controls (e.g., separation of duties, approval hierarchies) to prevent fraud. Narrative 2: Demonstrated experience applying commercial budgeting techniques, interpreting balance sheets, and analyzing profit and loss statements. Narrative 3: Experience redesigning financial processes to leverage new systems for improved efficiency and enhancement of internal controls. Narrative 4: Demonstrated experience fostering a culture of high ethics, transparency and accountability while mentoring and motivating teams through periods of change. All Qualified applicants will be rated against the highly qualifying criteria by a rating panel for evaluation of the quality and extent of your total accomplishments, experience and education.
