As Director of Finance for our EMEA Employer Finance Business Partner team, you'll be the strategic advisor that commercial and operational leaders turn to when the stakes are high. The TELUS Health finance team is one of TELUS Health's fastest-growing region and as Director of Finance for our EMEA Employer Finance Business Partner team, you will be the strategic advisor that commercial and operational leaders turn to when the stakes are high.
This is not your typical finance role. You will be working across multiple time zones, bridging established European teams with newly acquired entities on their integration journey.
From signing off on statutory statements as the Regional Health Finance Lead to translating local GAAP to IFRS, you'll navigate complexity with confidence. Working side-by-side with our Dublin-based Regional Business Lead, you'll shape financial outcomes that matter—not just for EMEA, but for the entire TELUS Health organization.
You'll lead a remote team across continents, challenge assumptions, drive continuous improvement, and turn financial insights into strategic decisions that fuel our expansion in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
What You'll Do
Lead with Impact
- Guide and energize finance team members across time zones, driving excellence in daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial activities
- Act as the Regional Health Finance Lead, signing off on statutory statements for tax and compliance across the EMEA region
- Build and develop a high-performing remote team spanning multiple countries and cultures
Be the Strategic Partner
- Partner with European teams—from well-established operations to newly acquired entities—guiding them through integration, financial walk-throughs, and policy alignment
- Translate financial complexity into clarity: bridge local GAAP to IFRS, highlight risks and opportunities, and influence critical business decisions
- Collaborate directly with regional business leaders to optimize financial performance and drive growth
Drive Financial Excellence
- Own the annual Strategic Check and Budget process for EMEA Employer, including detailed driver analysis and reconciliations
- Consolidate EMEA financial results and KPIs, delivering insights that shape leadership decisions
- Master revenue forecasting and gross margin analysis—understanding customer contracts, pricing strategies, and product lifecycles
- Evaluate sales incentive payouts, review RFPs, and analyze direct costs for complete margin visibility
Manage the Business
- Navigate all cost drivers: salaries, benefits, headcount, travel, data processing, and third-party expenses
- Deliver monthly P&L reporting with sharp variance analysis and clear communication of risks vs. plan
- Support AR, Collections, AP, and Cash Applications teams while maintaining strong relationships with North American centers of excellence
- Monitor and sign-off on internal controls as part of the Health SOX program
Shape the Future
- Provide financial analysis for new initiatives, products, and contracts
- Build pricing models and business cases, including discounted cash flow analysis
- Participate in M&A and divestiture analysis as opportunities arise
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis that drives business-critical decisions
What You Bring
Education/Experience:
- Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- CPA or CA designation preferred
- 8-10 years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years in an FP&A leadership role
- Strong command of IFRS accounting policies
