The Opportunity
 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the FP&A function in LBE process for P&L quarterly forecasting of revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, capital and headcount reporting, monthly functional spending reviews, and variance analyses.

  • Drive business unit annual planning process to align with long term strategic financial model.

  • Plan, direct and coordinate operational activities of the accounting department through supervision over general accounting, A/P, A/R, Collections, property accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting and budget controls.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to the Acelis DVP, Acelis leadership team and the Division Finance Controller for all financial matters.

  • Analyze the financial status of the organization and works with the division President to develop and carry out long-term financial goals.

  • Direct preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures (including the cost accounting system) and analyzes and reports variances.

  • Performed routine and Ad Hoc analysis measuring functional performance, business cases, cost analysis, and ROI’s on company programs.

  • Oversee the company’s system of accounts and records on all company transactions and assets.

  • Establish economic objectives, policies and procedures regarding accounting processes for the company.

  • Prepare reports outlining the company’s financial position in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations.

  • Assist with accounting issues, review policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Abbott’s financial policies.

  • Oversee and manage Treasury operations for banking deposits and disbursements to include check review and approval.

  • Prepare annual and quarterly tax schedules for corporate submission.

  • Partner with Engineering to develop annual R&D project plan and tracking, monthly reporting for all new product and software launches.

  • Ensures compliance with corporate policies and domestic healthcare laws and regulations.

  • Manage and analyze US payer contract agreements and assist the IT department with information planning and financial database development.

  • Follows all regulatory policies, procedures, privacy and security standards in accordance with government agencies to include HIPAA requirements.

  • Supports the RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) team with analytics, contracting and compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. 

  • Responsible for monitoring / tracking and analyzing Accounts Receivable collections and procedures to ensure timely collections. 

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Maintains a culture of accountability by setting clear objectives for all employees in areas of responsibility through regular follow-up, variance tracking and results.

  • Conducts accurate and timely assessment of direct reports through annual performance reviews.

  • Conducts supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable labor laws

  • Identifies and implements business processes and work flow productivity improvements.
     

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Identifies and assists with implementation of business processes and work flow productivity improvements within organization.

  • Assists in ensuring that all compliance regulations are met.

  • Maintain leases and contracts pertinent to corporate operations.

  • Reviews policies and procedures for consistency of accounting practices.

  • Identifies and implements business processes and work flow productivity improvements.

Required Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business and/or 10+ years of Controller experience or related field.

  • M.B.A. preferred

  • Advanced Computer / Software / BI tools

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Leadership and Team Development experience

The base pay for this position is

$172,000.00 – $344,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
