Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key internal departments within the US Promoted Brands Commercial team, including Leadership and Sales. Develop and nurture strong contacts and positive, proactive relationships with contacts ensuring open streams of communication. Represent Sales Leadership as needed. Maintain partnerships with business shared service department leaders in order to effectively communicate sales team priorities, maintain an understanding of current business operations, and help drive development and integration of key planning processes.

  • Assists Sales Leadership in targeting accounts for growth and for building business plans and strategies for execution. Uses key data to target key areas and measure performance. Communicates trends and issues pertaining to sales initiatives, including new launch products, key components in the incentive compensation program, and coverage.

  • Work with Sales Leadership to document progress pursuing opportunities, and helps to develop action plans for key products, such as top sales goals and key new launch products, contract performance, etc.

  • Plays a key role in supporting the sales team by providing proactive support through continuous monitoring and analysis, taking a long term view on growing our business, and manage the preparation and help drive the completion of sales presentations, key business review templates, scorecards and other documents to ensure the sales teams is equipped to effectively complete their responsibilities.

  • Takes steps to understand the day-to-day job life and challenges faced by sales reps, district managers, sales director, head of sales, and accounts teams. Conduct periodic field ride-along’s to observe customer interactions, attend certain key customer meetings, and participate in sales meetings.  Identify and help implement solutions where data analysis and other support items would streamline work, add efficiency and consistency, and help achieve the goal of increasing sales.

  • Supports material development and planning for key sales meetings, executive presentations, internal sales team meetings and requests.

  • Supports solution development efforts that best address sales team and customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company resources.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 10+ years of experience required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. 

  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of brands, sales, products and Pharmaceuticals overall. Understanding project management concepts, practices, and procedures.  Considered an expert within branded sales. Must possess working knowledge of the industry and launch experience.

  • Must possess excellent analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal planning, problem solving, decision making and project management skills.  Must possess a strong work ethic, and have good organization and time management skills.  Must have strong computer skills and be proficient within the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents.  Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence.  Ability to work with groups of people such as other departments and communicate known concepts.  Ability to present to a group of departments.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.  Ability to perform computations such as percentages, ratios, and rates. 

  • Ability to solve problems with complex variables through non-standardized solutions that require independent judgment and analysis.  Ability to draw inferences and use deductive reasoning with no prescribed procedures to solve complex problems.

  • May be required to stand; walk; stoop; bend; kneel; and climb steps. May require use of hands and use of arms. 

  • Normal office situation. 25% periodic travel required.

  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $112,000 -$236,000.
