What is the opportunity?

The role of Director, FC Integrated Practice Management oversees and manages the formalization and monitoring of the Financial Crimes (FC) global Target Operating Model (TOM) including Intragroup Agreements (IGAs) and performance reporting to ensure there is transparency over the performance of the TOM both in terms of operational effectiveness and robust controls supporting the FC services across RBC's global operations. The role also supports managing the FC Inquiries process as well as maintaining external disclosures and RBC's FC program including SWIFT KYC registries and Wolfsburg due diligence questionnaires.

What will you do?

  • Manage and oversee the establishment and maintenance of Intragroup Agreements (IGAs) that support the FC global TOM to ensure alignment with RBC third party risk and regulatory expectations across RBC's global footprint for which the FC TOM provides services. These include but are not limited to Transaction Monitoring, Model management, High Risk Client reviews, Global Sanctions and FC Investigations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Performance Management Reporting for the services that the FC TOM provides to various legal entities globally.
  • Ensure robust and up to date documentation is in place that sets out how the TOM is managed including IGAs, Performance Management Reporting and clarity of the various roles and responsibilities needed to support the global operating model of services.
  • Oversee the updates and maintenance of the Wolfsburg due diligence questionnaires as well as the SWIFT KYC registries for RBC Bank Canada and its subsidiaries.
  • Manage the coordination of responses to inquiries received about RBC’s FC program. Inquiries generally relate to reverse KYC/CDD requests from correspondent financial institutions. 
  • Provide support for significant regulatory exams and support for regulatory remediation.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 7-10 + years of relevant experience
  • Requires a strong understanding of the FC programs including control management infrastructure to ensure IGA's and reporting are complete and comprehensive.
  • Understanding of RBC's organizational and legal entity structure
  • Supporting and establishing strong stakeholder relationships, including ongoing communication, to ensure the Management and oversight of the TOM is transparent, up to date and robust.
  • Demonstrated experience with legal contract development and management, independent monitoring and testing , control, breach and issue oversight as well as demonstrated experience contributing to the development of an evidence-based RCM opinion.
