You will ensure ERP solutions are scalable, reliable, secure and compliant while enabling measurable business outcomes.
What you'll do:

- Establish and manage engineering operating rhythms, including roadmap planning, delivery governance, dependency management, risk controls and executive-level reporting.
- Build, lead and develop multiple teams, including internal and vendor or partner resources, with responsibility for hiring, coaching, performance management and succession planning.
- Drive architecture and technical direction for SAP integrations (for example, APIs, middleware, event-driven patterns), data platforms and adjacent custom applications.
- Partner with Product, Enterprise Architecture and business leaders to translate business outcomes into scalable technical solutions, measurable delivery plans and clear success metrics.
- Implement and continuously improve modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), automated testing, DevSecOps approaches, release management and production support models.
- Lead adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, including process automation, intelligent workflows, analytics and the responsible use of generative AI aligned to business and risk standards.
- Ensure security, privacy and compliance-by-design in ERP and SAP solutions, including access controls, Segregation of Duties (SoD), audit readiness and change control practices.
- Manage budgets, vendor performance, licensing and tooling decisions, and drive delivery cost optimization while maintaining quality and reliability.
- Oversee production stability by driving incident management, root-cause analysis, service improvements and reliability metrics across ERP landscapes.
- Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.
Experience you'll need to have:
- 10+ years of software engineering and delivery experience in enterprise environments, including ERP or SAP-centric programs.
- 5+ years of experience managing and developing teams, including people leadership responsibilities such as hiring, performance management and coaching.
- 8+ years of experience leading ERP or SAP implementation programs, such as SAP S/4HANA migrations or implementations, ECC modernization or major module rollouts.
- 8+ years of experience delivering enterprise integrations using approaches such as API-led connectivity and middleware, for example SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), Process Integration (PI), Process Orchestration (PO), MuleSoft, Boomi or similar tools.
- Experience applying strong software engineering fundamentals, including architecture, SDLC design, testing strategies, release management and operational support models.
- Experience leading cross-functional delivery that spans business stakeholders, security, infrastructure, data and vendor or partner teams.
- Experience managing vendors or partners and coordinating complex delivery dependencies in large program portfolios.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Fiori or User Interface for HTML5 (UI5), SAP ABAP development leadership and SAP Activate methodology.
- Experience with enterprise data and analytics patterns such as data lakes or data warehouses, Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) or Extract, Load and Transform (ELT) approaches and master data management concepts.
- Hands-on exposure to artificial intelligence or machine learning, including generative AI, covering use case selection, experimentation-to-production workflows and governance.
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) and Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environments and related audit or compliance requirements.
- Experience modernizing legacy platforms and delivering cloud or hybrid architectures using providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Relevant certifications, which may include SAP S/4HANA, SAP Activate, Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) leadership and cloud provider certifications.
