We’re looking for a product-minded engineering leader to shape the future of Zillow’s listings and evaluation experience. You will lead teams building customer-facing products that help people understand, compare, and evaluate homes more clearly, using Zillow’s rich listing data, media, personalization, and AI capabilities. This role calls for strong technical judgment, people leadership, and cross-functional partnership to turn ambitious product goals into durable engineering strategy and high-quality execution.
Lead multiple engineering teams across web, iOS, Android, and backend that power Zillow’s listings and evaluation experiences, including the Home Details Page.
Set the engineering strategy for experiences that help customers evaluate homes with greater clarity and confidence.
Partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, AI, and adjacent engineering teams to deliver high-impact customer experiences across Zillow’s shopping journey.
Guide the development of AI-powered shopping and evaluation experiences that make Zillow more helpful and differentiated for customers.
Drive strong execution through clear goals, prioritization, operating rhythms, and measurable improvements in quality, reliability, and delivery.
Coach and grow engineering leaders, helping them build healthy teams, strengthen technical judgment, and support career development for engineers and managers.
Improve engineering effectiveness by strengthening planning, accountability, and the tools and practices that help teams move faster with high quality.
Influence decisions across organizational boundaries, balancing near-term delivery with longer-term product, platform, and architecture investments.
You have experience leading multiple software engineering teams through managers and growing both managers and senior engineers.
Experience improving engineering productivity, quality, and ways of working across multiple teams or a broader organization.
You have a track record of delivering consumer-facing product experiences at scale while balancing customer impact, technical quality, reliability, and speed.
You can turn broad product or business goals into clear engineering direction and aligned execution across cross-functional partners.
You bring sound technical judgment and can engage on architecture, delivery tradeoffs, and system evolution while improving execution and operational rigor.
You are excited by the opportunity to build AI-powered customer experiences and can help teams apply emerging capabilities in practical ways.
You are a strong communicator who can tailor your message to executives, peers, managers, and engineers alike.
Experience leading engineering for shopping, marketplace, or decision-support product experiences is a plus.
