Role Description

Overview:

The Director of Enabling Functions Finance is a strategic finance leader responsible for partnering with the heads of enabling functions (e.g., Finance, Legal, Global Operations, and HR including Compensation) to drive financial stewardship, planning, analytics, and operational effectiveness. This role delivers clear insight and robust financial processes to support decision-making and drive organizational excellence, directly supporting senior leadership, including various Executives of the company and their respective leadership teams.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Performance Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting

  • Monitor, track, evaluate, and report performance across designated enabling functions, proactively identifying issues, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Prepare regular reporting for operating expenses and capital investments, performing analysis to explain underlying business dynamics and results. Maximize visualization and dashboarding capabilities to drive efficient and value-add analytics.
  • Support monthly and quarterly close processes by analyzing operating expense lines and other P&L items; prepare materials for financial reviews with senior leadership.
  • Assist with required forecasting and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) submission, including report generation, template management, and analysis of forecast submissions across all aspects of the P&L; provide scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to guide decision-making.

Business Partnership & Leadership Support

  • Act as a key business partner to enabling function and leadership teams.
  • Deliver timely executive presentations, materials, and insights to facilitate effective finance reviews and decision-making.
  • Drive resource optimization across operating expenses and working capital; evaluate investments and initiatives through rigorous business cases and cost modeling.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and influence outcomes in a matrixed environment; communicate clearly at all levels with concise, action-oriented recommendations.

Financial Planning & Insight Development

  • Assist in developing and maintaining financial models, trends, scenario analyses, and dashboards to provide strategic insights and support business initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth cost modeling and scenario analyses for new initiatives, partnering closely with enabling function leaders.
  • Provide ongoing finance acumen education for functional leaders, including guidance on expense recognition, capital spending and depreciation, and any unique accounting considerations.

Data Visualization & Storytelling

  • Develop impactful data visualization content to clearly and effectively convey financial and operational stories, highlighting the drivers, impacts, and opportunities embedded in the data.

Controls, Reporting & Process Optimization

  • Ensure compliance, strong controls, and adherence to finance policies across enabling functions.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting for assigned functions, including close support, variance analysis, and adherence to accounting policies; ensure a strong internal control environment.
  • Foster continual improvement and support transformation initiatives, including implementation of technology solutions and finance process enhancements.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop a team of finance professionals in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
  • Promote professional growth, knowledge sharing, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; Master’s, MBA or advanced credential (CPA, CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced proficiency in financial modeling (Excel), written analysis, and effective PowerPoint presentations for executive audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise financial systems, including S4/HANA, Anaplan, HFM, Essbase, OneStream, or comparable platforms.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication abilities; skilled at collaborating and influencing across all organizational levels.
  • Strong narrative and storytelling capabilities—able to craft compelling data-driven presentations and business cases for leadership and board-level stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead impactful change initiatives, extracting meaningful insights from analytics and driving continuous improvement.
  • Strong record of partnering with and influencing matrixed teams and senior business leaders.
  • Energetic, self-directed, and resilient leader who thrives in high-pressure, fast-paced environments and autonomously manages complex, competing priorities.
  • Decisive and accountable; takes ownership and drives results within area of responsibility.
  • Superior time management skills with a track record of producing results under tight deadlines.
  • Proven commitment to developing high-performing teams; excels in coaching, mentoring, evaluating, and ensuring succession for key finance talent.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $175,000 to $266,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the base pay target range for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.  

This position is also eligible for short-term incentive compensation
