Location: This is a hybrid position, which will require the ability to be onsite in our Bengaluru, India office as needed. Candidates must be based in India.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

At Clari + Salesloft, our Director, People (India) is the cornerstone of our regional success. Serving as the senior-most People leader in India, you will provide the strategic vision for our fastest-growing hub. Operating in a matrix environment, you will report directly to our VP, Employee Experience & Development with a dotted line to VP, Talent Acquisition, balancing local nuances with global alignment.

In this role, you will act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, ensuring the flawless execution of employee support and organizational health initiatives. You will lead and mentor a team of People Partners, overseeing the end-to-end employee experience—from proactive engagement and complex investigations to data-driven offboarding. In addition, you will provide guidance, support, and oversight for all talent acquisition related activity.

The Director, Employee Experience & Development is a data-informed leader, critical for analyzing workforce trends and partnering with the VP, Talent Acquisition and the VP, Employee Experience & Development to drive long-term business success. You will also collaborate closely with our Learning & Development,Rewards & Systems, and the leadership team to champion equitable practices and attract, develop, and retain world-class talent globally.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Strategic vision: You are a highly organized leader with a passion for the full talent lifecycle and the ability to drive "white-glove" experiences at scale.
  • Scale & inspire: Build and mentor a high-performing team of People Partners across our  India-based operations.
  • Matrix collaboration: Partner with VP, Talent Acquisition and VP, EE&D - to define and execute comprehensive talent strategies and global policies that resonate locally.
  • Change management: Advise Senior Leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and large-scale cultural integration.
  • Risk mitigation: Ownership of regional compliance; leading the team in resolving complex employee relations issues while ensuring alignment with Indian statutory requirements.
  • Innovation: Partner with the Executive Team to champion equitable practices, performance management, and executive coaching..

THE SKILL SET:

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of comprehensive experience across People Operations and Talent Acquisition and People, including 3+ years of leadership managing high-performing, global teams
  • Deep expertise in employment law and statutory compliance, with a strong understanding of the Indian labor market and international standards
  • Strategic prioritization skills with the ability to navigate high-demand environments while maintaining executive presence and sound judgment
  • Analytical mindset with impeccable attention to detail, specifically regarding workforce trends and organizational data
  • Executive-level communication skills with a proven track record of influencing and interfacing with C-suite and senior leadership
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and empathy, with the ability to handle sensitive employee relations with discretion
