Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, Independent Film Company, Sundance TV and We TV; and film distribution labels Independent Film Company and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.


We are currently seeking a Director - E-Commerce to join our Franchise & Strategic Partnerships team based in our New York, NY office. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITES

  • Strategic leadership: Develop and execute the overall e-commerce strategy to drive brand and intellectual property growth, increase online sales, and enhance the customer experience across all digital touchpoints (owned & operated and Amazon). 
  • Digital marketing: Partner with marketing team to drive growth thru all digital marketing channels, including paid media (PPC), search engine optimization (SEO), social media, and email marketing.  
  • Website management: Oversee the functionality, maintenance, and optimization of our e-commerce customer experiences (e.g. Owned & operated website with Shopify and Amazon). Drive improvements to the user experience and site navigation to improve conversion rates and customer satisfaction. 
  • Merchandising and product management: Manage product listings, pricing, and promotional calendars. Collaborate with product creation teams (internal & external) to ensure the online product assortment and launch strategy align with the business's overall goals. 
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with marketing, sales, finance, and third-party product teams to ensure cohesive strategy and execution. Advocate for digital best practices and innovation throughout the organization. 
  • Analytics and reporting: Utilize web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track performance metrics, analyze customer behavior, and generate actionable insights. Regularly report on sales, traffic, conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness to key stakeholders. 
  • Agency Management: Own the relationship with licensing agencies for third-party merchandise, including providing brand materials, feedback/approval for merchandise and marketing, and coordinating on e-commerce retail strategy. 
  • Team leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing e-commerce team. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.  


Qualifications (Required & Preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in e-commerce or digital retail, with significant leadership responsibilities. 
  • 3-5 years of management experience. 
  • Proven track record of scaling direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce businesses and driving profitable revenue growth. 
  • Deep expertise in major e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento) and digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Klaviyo). 
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with strong skills in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience in the entertainment or consumer products industry is a plus.  

The base compensation for this position is $155,000-$165,000 commensurate with experience.
