SUMMARY:
The Director, Digital Technology (Europe) provides strategic and operational leadership across all Digital Technology (DT) functions within the European region. This role is accountable for driving execution of the DT strategy within Europe while ensuring strong alignment with global Enterprise DT roadmap and objectives. Responsible for leading high-performing teams, managing human capital, overseeing budgets, and delivering innovative technology solutions in partnership with Enterprise DT teams that enhance business performance, efficiency, and customer experience. This leader ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation across a complex, multi-country environment.
YOUR IMPACT:
• Lead and develop diverse teams of professionals across Europe, fostering a people-first culture that champions the DT C.A.R.E. competencies—collaboration, accountability, respect, and excellence.
• Drive execution of the DT technology strategy within the region in alignment with the Enterprise global DT direction, ensuring the successful delivery of enterprise-wide digital initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with European data privacy, security, and audit requirements, including GDPR and other regional regulatory standards.
• Partner with business and technology executives to ensure regional-specific requirements are incorporated into the Enterprise DT roadmap, establishing performance metrics, milestones, and measurable business outcomes.
• Oversee regional financial planning, budgeting, and performance management—optimizing investments and ensuring ROI across all DT initiatives.
• Champion process optimization, automation, and innovation to enhance operational agility and business responsiveness.
• Build trusted relationships with European business leaders to understand strategic objectives and deliver tailored technology solutions that enable growth and efficiency.
• Mentor and coach senior managers, strengthening technical, financial, and strategic acumen across the organization.
• Evaluate regional technology operations and vendors, ensuring alignment with Enterprise global DT standards, global architecture, and shared platforms.
• Act as a regional ambassador for DT, promoting collaboration, communication, and alignment between global executive leadership and European operations.
• Lead change initiatives and communicate business impact, risks, and mitigation strategies effectively to key stakeholders.
• Advance the organization’s mission, vision, and values throughout the European DT organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressive DT leadership experience, including seven (7) or more years in senior management roles overseeing multi-country or regional operations.
• Demonstrated success driving digital transformation, operational excellence, and technology innovation within complex, matrixed organizations.
• Expertise in ITIL, COBIT, financial management, strategic planning, and enterprise governance.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology initiatives to commercial objectives.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills; proven ability to influence and build relationships across functions and cultures.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel across the region and internationally as needed.
