About this role
The Director of Digital Asset Operations and Platform Enablement will own and evolve the U.S. post‑trade operating model for digital assets. This role is accountable for designing scalable, resilient, and compliant end‑to‑end processes that support institutional‑grade crypto and tokenized product offerings. The Director will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and external market infrastructure to translate operating requirements into robust platform capabilities, while ensuring strong controls, audit readiness, and operational excellence as the digital asset ecosystem continues to mature.
Own the U.S. post‑trade operating model for digital assets, setting the vision and ensuring end‑to‑end processes are designed for scale, regulatory compliance, resiliency, and ongoing market and infrastructure evolution.
Champion process optimization and technology adoption across digital asset operations, driving efficiency, STP, and control enhancement while positioning Tech & Ops as a leader in institutional‑grade digital asset servicing.
Support continued commercial product rollouts for crypto, including introducing new product features, enhancing security and compliance capabilities, and driving the launch of innovative funds to meet evolving market demand.
Partner with Aladdin Product and Engineering to translate digital asset operating requirements into scalable platform capabilities, ensuring Aladdin remains the system of record for positions, cash, collateral, risk, and operational transparency.
Stand up asset‑servicing for digital assets and tokenized securities, including corporate actions and payments for tokenized ETFs; oversee onboarding/documentation with market infrastructure and ensure operational readiness across Tech & Ops.
Build collateral & settlement workflows for tokenized assets, partnering with post‑trade infrastructure to integrate pledge/ownership‑change instructions and real‑time statuses back into Aladdin.
Own the control environment and audit readiness for digital asset operations, partnering with internal and external auditors to maintain design/operating effectiveness and timely evidence support.
Lead digital operational readiness and partner management, overseeing custodians, exchanges, and market infrastructure partners to mitigate risk, enhance resiliency, and enable scalable product growth through strategic partnerships.
Align roadmap, data, and KPIs with Tech & Ops strategy; instrument dashboards for settlement timeliness, reconciliation health, wallet balances/utilization, and risk/compliance metrics; feed insights into the enterprise Tech & Ops roadmap.
Lead custody & wallet operational governance, allocation and sweeping policies; ensure continuous compliance with exchange/venue obligations and orchestrate time‑bound digital wallet transfers with crypto custodians per agreed SLAs.
10+ years of experience in operations, asset servicing, post trade processing, or related areas is required.
Technology implementation and process underwriting experience is required and must be demonstrated.
Proven ability to lead and engage in complex operational projects in a fast-paced environment is required.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, technology, or accounting or equivalent experience is required.
Understanding of systems and data architecture is required and must be demonstrated with examples.
Familiarity with digital assets is preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment through organization and adaptability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated success in high-performance or high-demand environments.
Initiative and a willingness to contribute beyond the scope of the role to achieve team and firm objectives.
