What you’ll do:

The Director of Deposits is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and management of the bank’s deposit products and strategies across primary retail and commercial lines of business and niche products such as HSA, IRA and wealth.  This role ensures that deposit products are competitive, compliant, and aligned with client needs, while supporting the bank’s balance sheet and profitability objectives. The Director will oversee product strategy, innovation, pricing, and client experience across a range of deposit and liquidity management solutions.

Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute the deposit product strategy across all banking clients.
  • Provide leadership on liquidity management trends, deposit pricing strategies, and competitive positioning.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (product, sales, finance, operations) to deliver market-leading deposit solutions.

Product Development & Management

  • Oversee the lifecycle of all deposit products, including demand deposit accounts, interest-bearing accounts, sweep and reciprocal services, earnings credit rates, and liquidity management tools.
  • Manage pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and product performance.
  • Partner with technology and operations teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and compliant platforms.

Client Experience & Growth

  • Ensure deposit products meet the evolving needs of all banking clients.
  • Collaborate with retail, commercial, wealth and treasury sales and relationship managers to deliver tailored deposit solutions.
  • Support client onboarding, training, and adoption of deposit and liquidity products.

Risk, Compliance & Operations

  • Ensure all deposit products comply with applicable regulatory and risk management requirements.
  • Monitor market, liquidity, and interest rate risks that impact deposit strategies.
  • Maintain strong controls over product governance and operational processes.

Performance & Analytics

  • Establish KPIs and metrics for deposit growth, product profitability, and client utilization.
  • Analyze deposit portfolio performance to recommend adjustments in pricing, features, or strategy.
  • Provide regular reporting and strategic insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 10 plus years hands on experience with bank deposit product management and product development.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with regulatory and risk management requirements.
  • Advanced Analytical and Reporting Skills
  • Ability to lead complex projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Computer Skills

Compensation:


The estimated annual salary range for this role is $169,000 to $228,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
