Job Description

This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship.  To be considered for this role, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Product Definition & Roadmaps: Set the strategic direction for data platform products across multiple technical platforms, domains, and functional areas by evaluating business cases, finding the +1 opportunity, and guiding the team in socializing concepts. Work through Technical Product Managers to convert these opportunities into platform features and detailed data platform product requirements and roadmaps (use cases, MVP, epics, user stories, success metrics), while keeping the broader business impact on the data ecosystem in view.
  • Customer-Centric: Champion a deep understanding of customer and business stakeholder perspectives when defining MVPs to identify underlying needs, recognize trends, and anticipate future demand across supported domains. Ensure the team translates these insights into data platform product features that meet user expectations and influence broader roadmap and prioritization decisions.
  • Data Platform: Own the strategy and lifecycle of key data platform products across supported environments and domains. Define what data platform capabilities are needed, how they are designed and consumed by data producers and consumers, and how they evolve to meet changing business, customer, and AI/analytics needs; direct Technical Product Managers, data engineering, and platform teams on priorities for new platform capabilities, enhancements, and retirement so the overall data platform product portfolio remains usable, reliable, and high value.
  • Technology: Provide strategic direction across multiple technical platforms and data environments, ensuring technology decisions support long term scalability, performance, and reliability of the data platform. Partner with engineering and other leaders to evaluate options, resolve key technical trade offs, and sponsor architectural approaches that effectively address market, customer, and business needs.
  • Communication: Deliver clear, compelling storytelling for the data platform product portfolio that drives consensus and energizes executives and constituents across the company. Set the standard for how the team communicates platform strategy, status, risks, and outcomes through documentation, internal enablement materials, and executive presentations.
  • Implementation: Oversee the translation of platform strategy into executable technical work by reviewing high level technical designs, capacity plans, and major delivery milestones, while keeping day to day hands on product management to a minimum. Stay closely informed about platform details and team challenges, ensuring backlog grooming and delivery plans result in capabilities that consistently meet business and technical acceptance criteria.
  • Collaboration & Support: Act as the senior go to leader for assigned data platform products and domains, enabling and unblocking teams as they support internal users with complex questions and issues. Foster a culture of open feedback, ensuring structured input from users and partners is fed back into platform roadmaps and backlogs, and take end to end responsibility for team culture, resources, and platform outcomes—you succeed or fail with your team.
