The Research and Content team at H1 is responsible for acquiring, classifying, tagging, enriching, and is charged with the overall management of all the content in the H1 platform.
The Director, Data and Research Operations sits within the Research and Content team, reporting into the SVP, Data & Research, and is responsible for driving the planning and operations of the department, working closely with engineering and product departments and supporting the commercial team.
ABOUT YOU
You are a strategic and highly organized leader with a strong ability to align team operations with company-wide objectives. You bring experience coordinating data initiatives across teams, proactively managing dependencies, and ensuring downstream teams are informed of priorities and capacity impacts.
You work closely with senior leaders to deliver consistent and accurate reporting, including partner-led initiatives, with a strong focus on KPI tracking and operational transparency. You are comfortable leading cross-functional efforts across diverse business teams, and driving change management initiatives.
You value clear communication and documentation, producing plans, resource allocations, and SLAs that support internal alignment and, when required, external stakeholders. You act as a trusted representative for senior leadership, supporting decision-making on resourcing, vendors, and tools, and enhancing leadership effectiveness through structured meetings and clear information flow.
WHAT YOU’LL DO AT H1
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align data and research initiatives with company-wide objectives
- Coordinate planning for all things related to data across H1, including coordinating between teams, alerting downstream teams to other work (e.g. QA team of high priority ticket counts being considered for the next quarter)
- Work with leaders to ensure consistent and accurate reporting on work product from all work related to data and research, even if the work is being done by partner teams, including KPI monitoring and tracking within our team
- Lead cross-functional initiatives between Research & Content, Engineering, Product, and Commercial teams
- Lead change management initiatives across the data organization
- Documentation of plans, resource allocation, and SLAs that can be shared with partner teams and through them clients, if necessary
- Keep the leadership team informed of developments within the organization and disseminate information to the Data team as a whole, creating appropriate supporting documents to do so
- Attend meetings in place of SVP of Data and Research or directors of different data departments, take notes and make decisions relating to data and research resource allocation, vendors and tools used
- Optimize leadership team effectiveness through strategic meeting design and agenda management
- Any other reasonable activity required by management/leadership
REQUIREMENTS
- 5-10 years working in operations or roles where organizing, coordinating, and leading projects was a significant component of the work
- Demonstrated experience achieving consensus with diverse stakeholders at senior levels
- Track record of implementing operational improvements that delivered measurable results
- Experience with complex organizations or systems is beneficial, especially military, governmental, healthcare administration, development, or consulting

COMPENSATION
This rolepays $130,000 to $160,000 per year, based on experience, in addition to stock options.
