This Director-level role is fully dedicated to partner-related analytics work and blends senior people leadership, program and project management, and hands-on technical expertise. The ideal candidate can lead and develop a high-performing BI team, manage a complex external partnership with our largest partner, and step into the analytics work when necessary, across SQL and Tableau.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for all Partner BI & Analytics initiatives and act as the primary, day-to-day point of contact with external Partner resources.
Own and strengthen the strategic working relationship between Green Dot BI and the Partner through clear communication, reliable delivery, and high-quality analytics output.
Lead, manage, and develop a dedicated Partner BI team; provide coaching, performance management, and career development.
Own intake, prioritization, resourcing, and delivery of all Partner analytics requests across recurring, ad hoc, and project-based work.
Provide program and project management leadership, including planning, timelines, risk management, and dependency tracking using Jira and related tooling.
Maintain accurate and transparent project boards and reporting for both internal stakeholders and Partner counterparts.
Ensure delivery of high-quality, accurate, and well-documented reporting and analytics deliverables.
Lead and support dashboard development in Tableau, including requirements gathering, design, validation, and stakeholder enablement.
Write, review, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to support analytics, data validation, and issue resolution.
Partner closely with Data Engineering on data models and pipelines, including work in dbt and enterprise data platforms.
Oversee and support legacy reporting where required (including MicroStrategy) while driving modernization efforts.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Operations, Compliance, and Engineering teams in support of Partner initiatives.
Identify staffing needs, skill gaps, and hiring plans for the Partner BI team; support recruiting and onboarding efforts.

Demonstrate strong ownership of the Partner-BI relationship by proactively managing priorities, risks, and delivery timelines.
Successfully complete the migration of Partner reporting and dashboards from MicroStrategy to Tableau, ensuring accuracy, stakeholder confidence, and adoption.
Improve overall quality, consistency, and documentation of Partner analytics deliverables.
Implement a clear intake and prioritization model that balances Partner demand with team capacity.
Build a highly engaged, well-supported Partner BI team with clear roles, accountability, and development plans.
Provide transparent, executive-ready status reporting that highlights progress, risks, and tradeoffs.
