The Opportunity
"FICO's Corporate Strategy team is responsible for key strategic initiatives and corporate development projects across FICO's Software and Scores business units. The Corporate Strategy organization is led by former McKinsey Senior Partner, and this Director-level role reports directly to the VP Corporate Strategy, also a former McKinsey Partner — creating an environment deeply grounded in strategic rigor and consulting expertise. This is a remote role, though we ideally seek candidates based in the New York City area. This position is designed for someone who focuses relentlessly on increasing shareholder value by continuously devising plans to "win" in the marketplace." - Hiring Manager

Lead strategic projects and initiatives for Software, Scores and FICO corporate across a broad range of areas such as new business opportunities, growth, pricing, cost reduction/efficiency, and organizational restructuring.

Understanding of, and experience working on projects in the financial services (lending, retail banking, payments), information services, and/or software sectors.
Proven mastery over the “strategy skillset” including: conceptual problem solving and comfort with ambiguity; economic and financial modeling and analyses; gathering and analysis of competitor and market demand data, leveraging both internal and external sources; working in and leading complex, cross-functional project teams and structuring, developing, and communicating executive-ready materials with top-down messaging and insightful recommendations on opportunities, capabilities, risks, and ROI.
Distinctive ownership over outcomes, proactively anticipating what comes next, driving work to completion without being directed, and holding themselves accountable to business impact rather than just workstream delivery.
Entrepreneurial mindset, not just executing assigned projects, but identifying white space, generating hypotheses about where value can be created, and independently structuring and proposing new workstreams around those ideas.
