About the team

Klaviyo’s global Corporate IT organization — part of Global Technology Solutions (GTS) — is responsible for the systems, services, and foundations that power how Klaviyos work every day. We provide secure, scalable, and reliable technology to Klaviyos around the world, ensuring they have the tools, access, and support they need to do their best work.

The Corporate IT leadership team owns the vision, strategy, and operations for our internal technology environment, including core infrastructure, identity and access, endpoint and office technology, collaboration platforms, and key enterprise applications. We partner closely with Engineering, Security, Risk & Trust, and business functions like Finance, People, and Legal to deliver a seamless, secure, and modern employee technology experience globally.

What You'll Do

As the Director, Corporate IT, you will lead the strategy and execution of Klaviyo’s internal technology environment. You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end health of our corporate stack — from identity and endpoint management to collaboration tools, office technology, and core enterprise systems used across the company.

You will define and drive the roadmap for Corporate IT, lead a multi‑disciplinary team of managers and senior ICs, and ensure our internal technology foundation is secure, reliable, compliant, and ready to scale. You’ll partner with leaders across the business to support company growth, enable an AI‑native workforce, and continually improve the employee experience through automation, self‑service, and modern IT practices.

Own the Corporate IT vision and roadmap

  • Define and maintain the multi‑year strategy for Klaviyo’s corporate technology stack, covering infrastructure, identity and access, endpoint and office technology, collaboration, and enterprise applications.
  • Align Corporate IT initiatives with company‑level goals and the strategic plans of Finance, People, Legal, Security, and R&D, ensuring internal technology is a driver — not a constraint — for growth.

Lead and develop a high‑performing Corporate IT organization

  • Manage and mentor managers and senior technical leaders across Corporate IT domains, setting clear expectations around service ownership, reliability, and stakeholder partnership.
  • Build and evolve an organizational structure that scales globally, supports follow‑the‑sun operations, and creates strong career paths and succession planning within the team.

Ensure reliability, security, and scalability of internal infrastructure

  • Oversee the design, operation, and continuous improvement of our corporate infrastructure, including networks, office connectivity, identity platforms, device management, and shared services used by all Klaviyos.
  • Establish and mature IT service management practices (incident, problem, change, and request) that deliver predictable, measurable service quality and support a great employee experience.

Drive enterprise applications and automation across the corporate stack

  • Collaborate with functional technology leaders (e.g., G&A Systems, GTM Systems, AI & DevOps) to ensure Corporate IT provides secure foundations, integrations, and governance for key systems such as ERP, HRIS, collaboration, and ticketing.
  • Champion automation, self‑service, and workflow tooling for core IT processes like onboarding/offboarding, provisioning, access changes, and SaaS lifecycle management, reducing manual toil and cycle times.

Support SOX, security, and compliance‑ready operations

  • Own and continuously improve IT General Controls (ITGCs) and other critical technology controls that support SOX and regulatory requirements, in partnership with Security, Internal Audit, and Finance.
  • Ensure identity, access, and change management practices are auditable, well‑documented, and increasingly automated, with clear metrics and monitoring.

Embed AI and data‑driven decision‑making in Corporate IT

  • Partner with AI‑focused teams to safely and effectively adopt AI and automation within Corporate IT, including AIOps, intelligent service desk capabilities, knowledge management, and workflow orchestration.
  • Define and track KPIs for Corporate IT (e.g., availability, MTTR, SLA adherence, employee satisfaction, cost efficiency) and use them to inform prioritization, investments, and continuous improvement.

Act as a strategic partner and communicator

  • Serve as the primary technology partner for corporate functions on topics such as office build‑outs, hybrid work, new systems, and cross‑functional change initiatives.
  • Communicate clearly with executive stakeholders about trade‑offs, risks, and recommendations, and represent Corporate IT in leadership forums and, when appropriate, with the Board and external partners.

Who You Are

Corporate IT and technology leadership

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Corporate IT, enterprise systems, infrastructure/platform engineering, or related technology roles in modern, fast‑growing tech or SaaS companies.
  • 5+ years of experience leading managers and senior individual contributors across multiple IT domains (e.g., infrastructure, applications, service operations, endpoint and office technology).
  • Demonstrated success owning end‑to‑end internal technology environments, including identity and access, device management, collaboration platforms, and core SaaS applications used company‑wide.

Security, compliance, and controls

  • Deep, practical experience with SOX IT General Controls (ITGCs) and/or other security and compliance frameworks, in close partnership with Security and Internal Audit.
  • Strong understanding of identity governance, change management, and access controls in a public‑company or similarly regulated environment.
  • Experience building and maturing processes and automation that keep environments compliant while enabling teams to move quickly.

Technical and operational depth

  • Strong foundation in IT infrastructure and enterprise IT concepts, such as cloud‑hosted corporate services, identity and access management, network and office connectivity, and endpoint management.
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Okta, Google Workspace, Freshservice or ServiceNow, Workday, Salesforce, and related tools commonly used to run a modern corporate environment.
  • Proven track record improving IT service reliability and efficiency through service management practices, observability, and automation.

Leadership, influence, and change management

  • Track record of building, leading, and developing high‑performing IT teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and creating an inclusive, growth‑oriented culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic partner to senior leaders, translating business needs into technology strategies, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and influence decision‑making at the executive level.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading Corporate IT or enterprise applications functions through significant scale‑up, transformation, or public‑company readiness.
  • Hands‑on background earlier in your career in infrastructure, enterprise applications, or IT operations, with comfort engaging in technical discussions when necessary.
  • Experience embedding AI and automation into IT operations and enterprise workflows (e.g., AIOps, intelligent routing, LLM‑powered knowledge and support).
  • Familiarity with cost optimization and capacity planning for corporate technology environments, including license management and SaaS portfolio governance.
