The compensation for this position will be $160,000 - $200,000 annually with eligibility for 20% annual incentive. The exact pay will vary based on experience.

Summary

The Director, Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting is the senior-most accounting leader overseeing Corporate accounting and financial reporting. This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company’s financial statements while building scalable corporate accounting processes to support growth, acquisitions, and private equity ownership requirements. This role partners closely with the Controller, senior accounting and finance leaders, and operational leaders to deliver high-quality financial reporting, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and support private equity sponsor, lender, and board reporting.

Core Responsibilities

Accounting Leadership

  • Leads all Corporate accounting functions including GL, consolidations, intercompany eliminations, cash, fixed assets, leases, goodwill, intangibles, other assets and liabilities
  • Builds and develop a high-performing Corporate accounting organization.
  • Leads adoption of new accounting pronouncements and financial reporting requirements
  • Establishes strong accounting governance, policies, and procedures.

Financial Close, Consolidation & Reporting

  • Owns monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for Corporate accounting.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring accuracy and conformance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Partners with FP&A and Treasury for alignment across reporting and forecasts.
  • Ensures effective use of financial consolidation, reconciliation, and reporting systems to support a timely, accurate, and well-controlled close process.
  • Assists with preparation of 401k annual financial statements

Technical Accounting & Policy

  • Serves as the authority on technical accounting matters.
  • Supports accounting for complex transactions.
  • Maintains Corporate accounting policies consistent with enterprise policies.

Internal Controls, Audit and Compliance

  • Designs and maintain a strong internal control environment.
  • Leads external audit activities specific to Corporate and supports overall audit activities.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.

M&A, Integration & Private Equity Interface

  • Leads accounting due diligence and integration activities.
  • Supports sponsor, lender, and board reporting.
  • Supports preparation of financials for exit readiness and QoE processes.
  • Supports financial systems integration and data harmonization efforts for acquisitions and divestitures.

Systems, Process Improvement & Scalability

  • Acts as the business owner for key finance systems; experience with the following systems is preferred:
      Oracle Financials
      SAP S/4HANA

  • Ensures accurate data integration, mapping, and governance across source systems, subledgers, and consolidation platforms.
  • Drives close acceleration, automation, and standardization initiatives leveraging financial systems capabilities.
  • Partners with IT, FP&A, and external implementation partners on system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations.

Qualifying Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA required.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior leadership roles.
  • Deep U.S. GAAP and technical accounting expertise.
  • Experience in Big 4 public accounting and private equity–backed environments preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication skills, and executive presence.
