Sonic Healthcare USA is hiring a Director of Contract Management.
Location:
Hybrid (Dallas preferred) | Remote considered for the right person

This is a high-impact, build-and-lead role where you’ll own enterprise-wide contracting across a complex, multi-state healthcare organization. You’ll shape strategy, modernize contract lifecycle management, and partner directly with senior leadership to drive smarter, faster, and more compliant deal-making.

What you’ll focus on:

  • Leading end-to-end contracting across commercial, healthcare, and vendor agreements

  • Reviewing, revising and negotiating complex contract terms across commercial, healthcare and vendor agreements to achieve business objectives while managing legal and operational risk

  • Provide strategic negotiation guidance to business partners and senior leaders, including recommended fallback positions, risk tradeoffs and escalation pathways

  • Building and optimizing CLM processes, templates, clause libraries, playbooks and contract initiation and review workflows

  • Driving compliance across Stark, Anti-Kickback, and related regulations

  • Leveraging data and technology, including AI tools, to improve efficiency

  • Partnering with cross-functional teams (e.g. Legal, Finance, Operations, Compliance, IT, Revenue Cycle and HR) and executive stakeholders to resolve contract and negotiation issues and other ensure contract initiatives align with internal stakeholders and market standards

  • Leading change management efforts to promote adoption of standardized contracting practices

  • Providing mentorship, guidance, and subject‑matter leadership to contracting and business team members

What you bring:

  • Deep experience in healthcare and commercial contracting

  • Proven ability to build and  scale contracting processes and functions

  • Strong business judgment and negotiation skills, balancing risk with practical outcomes

  • Experience with CLM platforms and legal tech, including AI and contracting tools

  • Executive presence with the ability to influence across functions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctor (J.D.) beneficial but not required.

  • 5+ years of legal or contract management experience, preferably in-house

  • Experience supporting healthcare, laboratory, or life sciences organizations strongly preferred

  • Prior leadership or contract’s function build-out experience is a plus
