Director Contract Management

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate to provide oversight and effective leadership in the management of a portfolio of complex lottery contracts and contract management-related activities through the contract lifecycle, including, from procurement to contract negotiation and execution, implementation, go-live and transition to Operations.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the VP Digital Engineering & Operations, you will be empowered to:

  • Provide strategic leadership throughout the full contract and RFP lifecycle, including requirements gathering, negotiations, execution, and ongoing support for business owners.

  • Oversee processes, tools, templates, and governance structures to ensure all contract obligations, changes, deliverables, and provider onboarding/transition activities are tracked, executed, and compliant.

  • Monitor project schedules and milestones to align system integration and delivery work with contractual tasks, while identifying risks, issues, and opportunities.

  • Lead assurance activities, reporting, and communications across OLG to keep leaders informed on status, priorities, risks, and contract‑related decisions.

  • Guide the resolution of complex contract issues and disputes, working with business owners, leadership, and legal to interpret terms and determine next steps.

  • Provide overall direction for contract management activities, with the flexibility to define roles, responsibilities, and expectations as the function grows.

  • Offer guidance and coaching on day‑to‑day contract management work, with the potential to support and mentor team members as the team evolves.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME

Education & Experience:

  • University or College degree/diploma in accounting, business, finance, law, information technology or engineering 

  • ​​​10 years of experience in a complex contracts management role managing strategic contracts (i.e. contracts, compliance, risk and audit, enterprise risk management, legal and/or relevant industry experience)  

  • ​3-5 years of experience managing contracts for systems integration projects 

  • ​5 years leading people and teams 

  • ​Experience in a public sector regulatory environment is preferred​​  

Relevant Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of contract management techniques and understanding of specific businesses and legal tasks/activities with broad management skills to oversee aspects of contractual relationships within OLG (e.g., contract execution, performance monitoring, trends and best practices, etc.)  

  • Understanding of general management and project management including budgeting, strategy, communications, and people management 

  • Understanding of systems integration projects and development methodologies including waterfall and agile  

  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship‑management skills, with a proven ability to solve problems and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
