Serves as a consultative, trusted advisor to Brand Marketing, Market Access, New Product Marketing, Finance, and other cross-functional leaders and stakeholders to identify key business questions and knowledge gaps that can be addressed via analyses and reports. Provides ongoing, high-level strategic consulting to all internal stakeholders to ensure maximum leverage of insights
Adds depth to insights by developing a thorough understanding of all key brand commercial dynamics, including disease state, market landscape, product attributes, unmet needs, key treatment providers / prescribers and payers
Provides overall management of the commercial analytics function and budget and ensures development and execution of the brand and/or new product analytics plans. Directs research, analysis and/or forecasting of the Company's markets, competition, product mix, and specified product markets
Contributes insights and strategic input to the brand plan situation analysis. Provides input to help shape the annual brand plan, brand strategies, launch plan, and/or new product development plans. Identifies challenges and opportunities. Tracks execution of the brand plan and evaluates the effectiveness of sales, marketing and/or market access efforts. Keeps informed about developments in the economic, scientific, political, government, and international environments as they apply to the organization's future marketing plans
Leads the synthesis of complex information, opportunity identification, and development of actionable conclusions and recommendations. Communicates and share findings with key commercial and cross functional management teams, effectively pulling through change within the broader organization
Prepares realistic, transparent, and assumption-driven demand, revenue and SKU-level unit forecasts. Manages periodic forecast adjustments. Challenges team assumptions and applies forecasting methodologies to support the brand strategy. Creates, implements, and maintains the forecast model(s) that support the brand. Monitors, tracks, and communicates actual versus forecasted sales on an ongoing basis. Collaborates with Finance and Market Access to implement the quarterly Latest Estimate (LE) process, including review of quarterly forecast drivers
Establishes brand performance and tracking metrics and designs and produces routine management dashboards and ad hoc reports to assist the executive management team, as well as the commercial leadership team, in understanding and managing the business
Develops an inventory of analytical methodologies and vendors that can be used to ensure consistent approaches are applied across brands and which support sustainable / predictable processes, business rules, and solutions. Determines required data sources (internal and external) to address business questions. Manages vendors, data sources and budget used for analyses
Gathers data on competitors and analyzes their strategies, prices, sales, and method of operation. Delivers regular and periodic competitive insights and analyses that are aligned with the priorities established by commercial leadership
Selects, leads, develops, mentors and evaluates staff to ensure the efficient operation of the function

BS/BA degree in business, science or quantitative disciplines such as mathematics or statistics AND 12+ years of experience using analytical techniques to address business questions, key analytical methodologies, including primary and secondary market research, advanced analytics, e.g., ROI evaluation, demand forecasting, uncertainty analysis, e.g., Monte Carlo simulation, and/or higher-level statistics, within a strategic organization; experience supporting both launch and mature brands or relevant experience is required. Experience within the CNS therapeutic area preferred. OR
Master's degree in similar disciplines or MBA preferred AND 10+ years of experience as noted above OR
Extensive previous experience hiring, developing and leading a team required

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $192,800.00-$263,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 35% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
