We are seeking a Director of Climate Impact for our Global Sustainability team to lead the delivery of JLL's climate workstreams and net zero initiatives.

The role reports to the Vice President, Climate Impact and will support strategic development of initiatives and lead the implementation of JLL's corporate climate program workstreams. This senior role encompasses program management, stakeholder engagement, climate transition planning, and driving the continuous improvement of JLL’s climate focused initiatives to deliver on JLL's sustainability commitments.

Specific Duties

Program Delivery & Leadership:

  • Develop delivery plans for JLL's climate workstreams, including implementation approach development, timeline management, resource allocation, stakeholder collaboration and milestone tracking.
  • Direct program management activities cross-functional project teams across business units and corporate functions to deliver program objectives.
  • Collaborate with Sustainability Team leadership to advance climate program objectives, data management practices, and delivery processes based.

Strategic Program Management:

  • Lead the successful delivery of program workstreams, ensuring alignment with business objectives, stakeholder management plans, and project timelines.
  • Support the development of climate impact data requirement plans by providing key insights on program data needs, establishing program performance metrics, and continuously improving the insights available related to drive program performance.
  • Advise on technology solution needs to improve program delivery and performance.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with program implementation leads, internal working groups, and other business functions as required to implement program workstreams.
  • Support development of internal engagement and operational integration plans to deliver program objectives.
  • Support the knowledge capacity building initiatives and inform the development of educational materials for program stakeholders.

Program Evolution & Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive annual program evolution through strategic opportunity assessments, data analysis, internal collaboration, best practice recommendations and stakeholder feedback.
  • Support program data, dashboard, technology solution development activities.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on emission reduction opportunities and climate impact program improvement.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in climate strategy, emission reduction programs, or sustainability program management
  • Proven track record in delivering complex, multi-stakeholder sustainability programs and initiatives – specific experience in scope 3 emissions is preferred
  • Project Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, or similar education preferred
  • PMP, or similar professional designation preferred
  • Advanced experience in program delivery and strategic implementation plan development for corporate sustainability initiatives
  • Exceptional organizational, program execution, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, senior leadership environment

Other Requirements

  • Location: Toronto, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta
  • Work-Life Integration (WLI) Designation: 1-2 days at the local office and the remainder of work week remote at home
  • Domestic & International Travel required 2-4 times per year for stakeholder engagement and program oversight

Estimated compensation for this position:

120,000.00 – 180,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
