Compensation
Compensation includes a base salary of $144,900.00 - $241,500.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
EV Battery Solutions (EVBS) is looking for a self-starter to lead the largest most complex and critical programs. This high impact role will steward client programs from end to end across multiple business functions (physical Engineering, software Engineering, Operations, Safety, Sales, etc.), clients (executives, program managers, etc.) and locations. This requires working across the business and technical sides of an issue as well as jumping into the weeds of any function to ensure the issue is well understood and that the technical solution is well thought out, flexible, scalable, and meets the needs of the client. This individual will provide tactical and strategic guidance and support to our internal teams to create, own, operationalize, and maintain, end to end programs, enabled by KPIs, dashboards and strong relationships with the client and internal stakeholders. This role will create an environment of predictable, safe, quality implementation and delivery outcomes.
This is the individual who the client will work with most closely to receive, assess and communicate answers to questions about project status and production readiness. They must understand and forecast the client’s goals and drive insights, improvements and growth opportunities for the client by fostering trust and working from a position of authority to recommend, implement, and monitor solutions.
Job Duties:
- Primary point of contact for EVBS client(s) for all operational aspects of committed work including but not limited to the overall client solution from launch to implementation to ongoing enhancements to end of life
- Develop & maintain collaborative relationships with our clients (from the day-to-day stakeholder to executives), engineers and operational business stakeholders as appropriate to establish priorities and provide ongoing updates
- Proactively lead large-scale solution delivery, engaging with cross-functional leaders and stakeholders to ensure mutual understanding, ongoing communication and alignment of outcome expectations
- Contribute to ongoing client solutions including project estimation, scope definition, resource allocation, and timeline development.
- Create client facing roadmaps for ongoing solutions and enhancements
- Own and accountable for the production launch schedule to ensure production readiness for our client
- Responsible for all operational, business, and finance aspects of the program. Ensure optimal operational delivery of client work via regular reporting and engagement with team to identify improvement opportunities that drive efficiency, safety, and quality. Develop and manage to SOWs and ensure issuance and replenishment of purchase orders.
- Monitor and advance legal and environmental items with the appropriate departments
- Track overall progress to achieve organizational priorities within the requested deadlines. Monitor LDM boards, establish and manage KPIs
- Communicate proactively with client(s) on production recommendations, risks, challenges, and solutions
- Identify and escalate (when needed) risks and issues; Provide mitigation strategies to leadership
- Lead regular status/update meetings with client(s) and the internal teams, ensuring thorough communication with all stakeholders at all stages of the engagement
- Identify issues and opportunities within accounts and projects to provide solutions and potential sales opportunities
- Provide product consultation and training expertise
- Lead supporting team member(s)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 10 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 8 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 5 years’ experience in a related field; or 14 years’ experience in a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in a management or leadership role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with OEMs/in the automotive industry and with suppliers
- Experience with EV batteries a plus
- Client facing exposure with proven ability to develop strong relationships
- Must be self-motivated with strong organizational skills, an attention to detail, and the aptitude to take ownership
- Ability to design items of communication to convey complicated issues in an easily understood fashion to team members, clients, and leadership
- Thrive in a high pressure, ever changing and demanding environment
- Systems to be proficient with: MS Office tools: Project/Smartsheet, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio/Lucid, Word
- Experience managing complex, large-scale, projects with hands on experience, knowledge and understanding of underlying architecture, components, dependencies, etc.
- Demonstrated leadership, ability to influence, initiative and follow through required
- Proven analytical skills and experience
- Proven ability to lead a team
- Extensive professional knowledge of market segment, industry and technology trends preferred
- Ability to develop and execute strategy in an evolving market
- Located in one of our EV Battery Center markets (Oklahoma City, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Detroit)
- Travel required: 25-50% (international travel may be required)
