JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Director, Change Management leads the strategic design, implementation, and oversight of the Change Management Partner Office (CMPO). This role establishes the enterprise-wide framework for the "people side" of change, ensuring maximum ROI through efficient and effective change adoption. They liaise with the Integration management Office, Communications, and Human Resources, and business functions to design strategic change initiatives, consult on best practices, and support cross-organizational upskilling for a cohesive teammate experience, ensuring changes align with organizational capacity.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish Change Management Partner Office (CMPO) methodology, governance, and reporting, aligning activities with company strategy, supporting banner identities and culture, and managing portfolio-wide change saturation.
Conduct detailed Change Impact Assessments, grouping and sequencing enterprise-wide changes to proactively identify skill gaps, prevent change fatigue, and ensure successful adoption.
Lead the execution of large-scale, cross-functional change programs by overseeing communication, sponsorship, coaching, and adoption management.
Monitor the integration roadmap to identify and manage cross-functional dependencies.
Stand up and sustain a Change Agent Network of informal leaders to promote adoption amongst peers across support offices and store/field operations.
Partner with designated business areas to develop strategic plans that align with organizational development goals.
Establish KPIs that move beyond adoption rates to measure sustained behavioral change, business outcomes, and long-term benefit realization..
Act as a consultative partner to executive leadership, providing data-driven insights and high-level readiness updates to accelerate deal value realization.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Required Education: Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or equivalent experience in a related field.
Certifications: Prosci Certified Change Practitioner.
Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum 7 years in talent or change leadership roles, with a focus on strategy and program implementation.
Other Requirements: Grocery or retail experience preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Expert understanding of change management methodologies and their application.
Ability to navigate matrixed organizations with multiple reporting lines and distinct brand cultures.
Understanding of the unique challenges of the grocery/retail environment, specifically communicating with a distributed, high-turnover, and deskless workforce.
Expert-level ability to translate I/O Psychology metrics and behavioral analytics into actionable business insights for the C-Suite.
Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills.
Advanced communication (oral and written), presentation, and facilitation skills.
