Position Summary

The Associate Director/Director, CTDO Project Lead is responsible for analyzing, designing, optimizing, and executing business processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall business performance. The lead will aim to eliminate complexity and redundancies while capturing efficiencies through simplification, standardization, & optimization of processes, and drive accountability, performance monitoring, & agility in decision making through assignation of clear ownership.  Additionally, in conjunction with the Executive Director, CTDO Chief of Staff, the lead will support improved visibility, agility, performance and scalability while minimizing compliance risks through digitization and automation.  This role involves working closely with and, influencing cross-functional senior level CTDO and GPS sponsors, stakeholders, and enabling partners and leading cross-functional stakeholder teams to identify process improvement opportunities, develop solutions, and drive implementation of changes to strategic divisional business processes on behalf of CTDO.  The ideal candidate will have strong data management and analytical skills, experience in process improvement methodologies, comfort working with and integrating AI and digital tools, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.  Overall, the lead is the single point of contact and accountability for the process: how work gets done, performance of the process, optimization efforts, and adoption of changes.​

  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Gather and document detailed business requirements from stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives.
  • Utilize data and process mapping tools to visualize and analyze current processes.
  • Develop and propose optimized business processes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and drive implementation of process improvements.
  • Ensure that new processes align with organizational goals and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collect and analyze data to measure process performance and identify trends and patterns.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics and KPIs to track the success of process improvement initiatives.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Develop and execute communication plans to engage and inform stakeholders about process changes.
  • Provide training and support to teams to facilitate smooth transitions and ensure sustained improvements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, including process maps, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Generate regular reports on process performance, improvement initiatives, and project status.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in process improvement methodologies.
  • Implement best practices and standardized processes to optimize business performance.
  • Conduct after action review/lessons learned in support of best practices and standardized processes implementation, and overall optimization of business performance.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Associate Director Level: Minimum of 8 years of experience in consulting, business process analysis, process improvement, continuous improvement, or a related field.
  • Director Level: Minimum of 10 years of experience in consulting, business process analysis, process improvement, continuous improvement, or a related field.
  • Strategic thinking capability with focus on execution of strategic decisions while balance conflicting priorities​
  • Provides innovative ideas that create value without compromising compliance
  • Demonstrated change agility (anticipates / courageously leads others through change and ambiguity)​
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and analysis tools (e.g., Visio, Adonis, Lucidchart).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and support stakeholders at all levels through various formats (e.g., presentations, written proposals, reports, correspondence, lead meetings, face-to-face dialogue, etc.)​.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Makes and acts on decisions while balancing speed/quality/risk to deliver value
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or other applicable experience.

Compensation Overview:

Seattle - WA: $209,750 - $254,163

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
