The Director, Product Operations will report to the SVP, Payment Products and Digital.

What you'll do:

  • Lead large strategic initiatives and the overall business management activities for Payments and Products Operations.
  • Establish a frameworks and lead plans to achieve continued process improvement, solution automation, budget oversight and driving cost efficiencies, designing and monitoring key control, operational risk assessments and documentation.
  • The role will lead a group of operations professionals and promote sustainable, scalable and flexible operational processes, effective controls, fulfilling compliance requirements and proactively adjusting policies and processes to changes in the regulatory environment.
  • Partner with the cross functional teams in the problem-definition process, culminating in the recommendation and implementation of actionable solutions and identify and evaluate opportunities to continuously optimize business operations.
  • As subject matter expert lead regulatory reporting and compliance function for the product team.
  • Developing a robust set of KPIs and metrics that will allow senior management to gain insight and make effective decisions in terms of managing risk and overseeing the day to day operations of the group.
  • Consistently identifying sources of complexity and recommending technology enabled/process enhancement solutions that are long term and scalable.
  • Coaching and leading the development of a high performing team.

What you bring:

  • University degree in Business, Commerce, Computer Science or related field
  • 3-5 years in payments or banking industry experience, preferably in the project management or operations.
  • A strategic mindset and proven ability to build and shape a long-term approach to business success.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive organizational changes to optimize the operational support needs and manage performance of Operations teams, setting clear priorities and expectations as well as providing direction and support
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work cross-functionally with a wide range of stakeholders as well as manage vendor relationships
  • Data-first problem solver with sound business judgement and demonstrated operational excellence
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex ideas succinctly and with great precision
  • Strong leadership skill and ability to develop and retain talent
  • Project Management certification/ Agile project management experience a plus
