THE JOB:

The Director of Audio Video Presentation provides leadership, direction, and management for all forward facing and back-of-house digital media assets and technology, broadcast technology, and all aspects of facilities presentation during event and non-event times. This position will ensure that T-Mobile Arena and Toshiba Plaza operate optimally at all times and that all patrons, clients, broadcast partners, promoters, tenants and production personnel have a consistent and first-class experience with all the arenas digital content, audio, video, and broadcast technology. The Director of Audio Video Presentation ensures all activities performed within the reporting departments are in accordance with the company's business objectives, budget guidelines, mission statement, and core service standards.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Oversees operations, maintenance, and installation for all video, audio, lighting and production systems and equipment used for general venue and event presentation including but not limited to LED and IPTV systems, content creation and programming.
  • Leads the development and implementation of policies and standard operating procedures regarding facilities presentation, such as building A/V, broadcasts, and digital media assets, with a specific focus on maximizing the integration of all systems to meet business, marketing, and entertainment goals.
  • Leads the internal A/V presentation teams for the arena, responsible for operating, maintaining, and programming the audio and video systems within the arena and outside plaza. Facilitates an engaging and collaborative work environment for the team. Oversees the recruitment, hiring, training, and coaching for the department, as well as routine evaluation of service providers.
  • Facilitates an effective working relationship with GM, managers, supervisors, employees, patrons, clients and tenants, service providers and corporate sponsors.
  • Manages third-party service providers by enforcing the agreed upon scope of services within the various signed service agreements (i.e. freelance and union production crewing agencies, equipment rental agencies, creative agencies, contractors, digital signage service providers, etc.)
  • Liaises and collaborates with tenants and all event promoters to ensure the game/event presentation content is developed and executed efficiently and effectively and to develop effective strategies for meeting internal and external client needs through creative deployment of building technology. Responsible for maintaining required reports/records/certifications for the city, code and/or corporate management

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • The ideal candidate has 4+ years of managerial experience in venue operations or live event/TV production, including Audio/Visual management. They are skilled with systems like Cisco Stadium Vision, Daktronics Venus, Show Control, non-linear editors, and content creation software (Adobe Creative Suite, 3D motion graphics).
  • Preferred experience includes video/scoreboard production in large venues (16,000+ seats), live sports and entertainment production, broadcast control room equipment, digital sound systems, digital signage, IPTV, and modern broadcast cabling. Experience with major leagues/promoters (NBA, NHL/AHL, NCAA, Live Nation, AEG Live, FELD Entertainment) and hotel/entertainment resort complexes is highly desirable.
