Your Team & Role
As a Director, Architecture Governance in the Chief Technology Office organization, you will collaborate with Global Technology and Operation’s various functional areas, individual business units/corporate functions, and other control functions by identifying, monitoring, and managing risks associated with the use, ownership, operation, involvement, influence, and development / adoption of technology within an enterprise. In addition to technical expertise and experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.
Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
Oversight and management of the end-to-end architecture governance program to help manage risks by ensuring that architecture evaluation is done within the architecture governance processes. Evaluate architecture governance submissions to ensure alignment to architecture governance requirements. Maintain the enterprise product catalog.
Identify, author, operationalize, optimize and communicate governance program/capabilities to house new architectural patterns, product lifecycles, and other architecture governance requirements.
Identify, author, operationalize, optimize, communicate and maintain enterprise architecture team processes (ie team way of working, Solution Architecture, Application Portfolio Management, etc.).
Primary contact to field questions, support efforts and help individuals to navigate the architecture governance program and/or own activities related to the governance program or team processes (ie audit support, approval questions and product catalog management, etc.).
Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables and may impact future concepts, products or technologies. Exercises latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields
Significant technology and leadership experience, preferably in architecture, architecture governance and/or risk management
Demonstrated understanding of key IT concepts/processes such as Enterprise Architecture framework (principles, patterns, etc.), Access control, OpenSource management, data handling and protection, Business Continuity, IT risks & controls, security monitoring, technical taxonomies and technology lifecycle management
Demonstrated experience with several of the following: ServiceNow, Flexera/Technopedia, Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira/Jira automation, Miro), PowerBI, Microsoft Office Suite including Visio and Sharepoint
Experience developing reports and dashboards and providing critical thinking summaries related
Demonstrates strong ownership and is able to lead and work independently and optimally leveraging diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization; excellent problem solving skills
Experience working in an agile environment; ability to drive incremental change while navigating ambiguity
Significant understanding of business concepts, tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the role; deep understanding of the functional area and a competent understanding of the overall firm
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate sophisticated messages and new concepts to varying audiences
Objective, diplomatic team player with excellent collaboration, networking, and influencing skills, as well as credibility and commitment to building trust and developing relationships
Accustomed to managing multiple and unrelated efforts simultaneously
Demonstrated success of achieving specific, measurable, and concrete objectives aligned with business goals by tracking and reporting outcomes over a specified time.
Continuous learning mindset with demonstrated aptitude for understanding strategic investments and new technologies.
