What You’ll Be Doing

The Director, Sr. Application Consultant is a seasoned professional in Application architecture and design that provides direction on roadmap and strategy of key applications that aligns with best practices, secure from the get go and operationally sound and resilient. The role applies leadership skills and technical expertise to direct, manage and support large and critical applications on a day to day basis, leading internal change initiatives in alignment with ongoing technological changes. The Director, Sr. Application Consultant will work closely with Tech and Business partners, maintaining continuous communications with relevant parties to proactively assess any proper solution for business needs. The role drives innovation across areas of responsibility, applying expert interpersonal, communications, and problem-solving skills.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Develop the applications architecture and blueprints which reflect business processes for the line of business. Conduct reviews and analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of applications. Provide technical guidance to application development teams. Consults on integration and conversion activities. Recommends redesign or redevelopment. Selects technologies to provide long-term compatibility and flexibility.

  • Direct, manage and deliver large, complex, mission critical application development projects. Identify the drivers, strategies and needs of clients' technology operations and lead internal change to support those operations within realm of assigned responsibilities.

  • Stakeholder Management - Manage relationship with clients; interface and maintain communications with it and business management. Monitor business and technology developments and provide on-time response and support.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate solid experience in Application Design and solution - knowledge of major tasks, deliverables, formal methodologies and disciplines for delivering new or enhanced applications; Risk Management-Knowledge of process, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure (assets, liabilities, reputation); Planning: Tactical, Strategic-Ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1 - 2 years) and strategic (3 - 5 years) planning in support of the business plan; Managing Organizational Change--Ability to manage the successful and smooth transition from current to desired culture, practices, structure and overall organizational environment. Knowledge in APIs and security practices are key for internet facing applications.

  • You are a seasoned technical leader. You have 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a leadership role with a focus on technical architecture, application development and solutions design.
