Franklin Templeton’s Alternatives capabilities are spread across c. $260bn in AUM and include private credit, private equity, real estate, hedge fund solutions, and venture capital strategies.
We are seeking a Director, Alternatives Sales Specialist to join our growing Alternatives Wealth Solutions team, located in Hong Kong and be a product specialist focusing on private markets and hedge funds. This role develops strategic sales plans for Asia in partnership with regional sales teams. This role works alongside the regional sales teams to identify and fulfil alternatives wealth solutions for our global and regional clients and to enable sales, relationship management, education, and evaluate the overall client experience.
Collaborate with regional sales, client service teams, and specialist investment managers (SIMs) within Asia to act as a product specialist for a range of private markets strategies
Provide support to maximize the asset raising efforts for each alternative product launch, and be a key contributor in the fund selection and approval process
Collaborate with relevant teams on all aspects of onboarding open–ended and closed-end fund offerings
Review and appropriately respond to internal and external client inquiries and gather necessary data and documentation for onboarding
A key contributor to ongoing alternative projects across Asia, such as expanding into new regions and launching new products.
Bachelor’s degree. MBA and/or CFA/CAIA is desirable
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
In-depth experience and technical expertise in Asia's private markets strategies
Deep understanding of key alternative asset classes
Proven track record in developing and implementing sales and marketing business plans
Strong motivation and a drive to succeed, with the ability to thrive in collaborative team environment
Self-driven with the ability to cultivate and manage key internal and external relationships.
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with frequent travel
Cantonese and Mandarin language skills are a must
