AI/ML Engineering Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of AI/ML engineers and data scientists.

  • Shape the AI engineering roadmap through alignment with business goals and product strategy to deliver the right solutions in the needed timelines

  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML solutions for Tricentis’ product portfolio.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

  • Spearhead MVP development and productization by rapidly prototyping and validating promising AI solutions through collaboration with AI product management and AI Research teams.

 

Technical Strategy & Architecture

  • Lead the technical roadmap and architectural direction for AI/ML systems, through partnership with the Architecture teams.

  • Supervise the evaluation and technology selection process for AI and AI supporting technologies, including budgeting and Engineering leadership alignment, that meet current and future needs.

  • Oversee the development and deployment of domain specific machine learning models.

  • Ensure robust, scalable, and optimized AI features for real-world application including effective evaluations of Agents.

  • Collaborate in guiding technical research on emerging AI/ML models and technologies to pinpoint viable solutions for development and deployment.

 

Collaboration & Strategy

  • Collaborate with product management, UX, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver AI driven features.

  • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of projects.

  • Work closely with DevOps to streamline the deployment of AI models into production environments.

  • Establish and enforce ethical AI frameworks to promote fairness, mitigate bias, and maintain transparency in AI systems.

 

Leadership

  • Supervise, mentor, and grow members of the AI/ML engineering team.

  • Drive all aspects of recruiting, including attracting, building, and retaining a highly skilled team.

  • Build and maintain a culture of accountability, accomplishment, continuous improvement, and teamwork.

 

Communication

  • Communicate technical concepts, project status, and strategic vision to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Represent the AI/ML engineering team in executive meetings, customer engagements, and industry events.

  • Build strong partnerships across functional areas to enable and support product growth 1

 

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in AI/ML engineering leadership roles.

  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams.

  • Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, generative AI, and large language models.

  • Strong programming skills in Python and other relevant languages (e.g., Java, SQL).

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices.

  • Experience deploying AI models at scale in enterprise settings.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

 

Skills and Experiences that We Value

  • Experience designing, developing, and shipping commercial software products.

  • Familiarity with modern ML stack components, including GenAI, Agents, Semantic Search, and cost/performance optimization.

  • Solid understanding of the customer journey from problem identification to solution implementation.

  • Experience partnering with legal, engineering and product leadership to ensure high value AI inventions are systematically captured and protected.

  • Demonstrated creativity, problem solving, and innovative thinking.

  • Experience working in agile, globally distributed, cross-functional teams.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on occasion.
