Qurate Retail Group

Director, Affiliate Distribution

USA, PA, West Chester Full time

Working at QVC Group means joining a live social shopping company with incredible teams, ambitious projects and amazing careers. QVC Group, Inc. is a Fortune 500 company with six leading retail brands - QVC®, HSN®, Ballard Designs®, Frontgate®, Garnet Hill® and Grandin Road.

Your Opportunity, Your Team

QVC and HSN reach millions of households every day across cable, satellite, virtual MVPD, and over-the-air platforms - and keeping that distribution footprint strong, competitive, and growing is one of the most critical levers in our business. The Director, Affiliate Distribution, will manage the day-to-day affiliate relationships and carriage strategy that ensure QVC Group stays on every platform that matters.

  • Reporting to the VP, Platform Distribution, you'll own the affiliate relationship portfolio across pay TV and select OTT distributors - managing renewals, negotiating carriage terms, resolving operational issues, and ensuring our distribution agreements are performing. You'll be deeply embedded in the economics of distribution: modeling deal structures, tracking subscriber trends, monitoring competitive positioning, and surfacing insights that inform broader distribution strategy. You'll also work closely with cross-functional partners in programming, streaming, commercial, and finance to make sure distribution decisions are connected to business outcomes.

Where You'll Work

This role is hybrid and will require you to be on-site at our West Chester, PA headquarters (Studio Park) several days per month (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company). Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the affiliate distribution portfolio for QVC and HSN across cable, satellite, vMVPD, and OTA platforms - owning the ongoing health, performance, and commercial terms of distributor relationships
  • Lead carriage renewal negotiations and new distribution agreements, working with the VP, Platform Distribution to secure favorable terms across traditional and emerging platform types
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for key affiliate and distributor partners, building strong relationships that keep QVC Group top of mind and well-positioned in channel lineups and platform placement
  • Monitor and analyze subscriber trends, distributor performance, and competitive positioning across the pay TV and vMVPD landscape to inform distribution strategy and identify risks or opportunities early
  • Develop and present financial models and business cases for carriage renewals, new deal structures, and distribution investments - translating market intelligence into clear recommendations for leadership
  • Track and ensure compliance with existing distribution agreements, managing contract terms, service level commitments, and escalations as they arise
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with programming, streaming, commercial, and finance teams to ensure affiliate distribution strategy is aligned with broader business growth initiatives
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory developments, and shifts in the MVPD/vMVPD/OTA landscape - bringing a point of view on how changes in the distribution ecosystem affect QVC Group's positioning
  • Support the identification and evaluation of new distribution and business development opportunities across traditional, digital, streaming, and emerging platforms.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in TV distribution, affiliate relations, or platform partnerships, with a strong understanding of the cable, satellite, vMVPD, and OTA landscape
  • 5+ years of experience managing or leading teams in a distribution, media, or related environment
  • Hands-on experience negotiating carriage agreements and managing distributor relationships - you know how these deals get structured and what drives value on both sides
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to model deal economics, assess risk, and build compelling business cases for distribution investments
  • Deep knowledge of the evolving pay TV and streaming distribution ecosystem - including how cord-cutting, vMVPD growth, FAST platforms, and regulatory shifts are reshaping the landscape
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with external partners and influence internal stakeholders across a matrixed organization
  • Experience in television, media, or entertainment; retail or live commerce background is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
