The Director of Advisor Experience will lead the design, delivery, and optimization of service and sales enablement platforms that support John Hancock’s network of producers—a strategic initiative to build a committed network of agents who champion wellness and longevity planning.
This role ensures top-tier support, training, and engagement tools are in place to drive producer performance, retention, and customer value while making wellness solutions accessible and easily transferrable to end customers.
Position Responsibilities:
Producer & Wholesaler Enablement
Align clients with wholesaler support models to ensure seamless engagement and service.
Track certifications and ongoing CE requirements to maintain compliance and readiness.
Translate sales strategies into impactful, easy-to-use playbooks that simplify wellness and longevity planning for producers and customers.
Partner with Behavioral Insurance team to support events and advance external training programs.
Collaborate with IT and New Business teams to deliver a frictionless selling and buying experience.
Advance producer awards and offerings based on producer interaction and advisory feedback.
Service Infrastructure & Experience
Deliver white-glove service across the network, defining service metrics and staffing models for consistent, high-quality producer experience.
Partner with sales and people leaders to align support models, including:
Dedicated wholesaler support
Vitality Personal Consultants (VPCs)
Concierge for inforce and underwriting
Product intelligence and competitive services support
Advanced Markets Attorneys and Dedicated Consultants
Enablement & Technology
Deploy and integrate enablement technologies including CRM, Seismic learning, JHINI, Vitality Pro, and AI tools.
Ensure producers have access to turnkey resources (seminars, campaigns, presentations).
Contribute to LHBN version of the Vitality Pro platform to support engagement and performance tracking, by partnering with the producer owner to advance experience.
Design and deliver exclusive training programs and track certifications, including:
Vitality Certification and recertification checkpoints
Build the Chartered Longevity Planner program (in partnership with a third party industry association)
Collaborate with dedicated trainers to ensure content aligns with network goals and producer needs.
Incentives & Recognition
Help to define and manage the reward platform, including:
Tiered compensation and bonus structures
Recognition trips and experiential incentives
Discounts and exclusive product offerings
Explore cost models and options to build long-term retention benefits
Product & Market Expansion
Work with Product teams to launch transnational products and ensure adoption and sales plans are realized.
Support go-to-market strategies and onboarding of mission-aligned producers and partner firms.
Required Qualifications
10+ years in life insurance distribution, sales enablement, or service operations.
Proven experience building and scaling advisor support platforms.
Strong understanding of independent distribution, IMO/MLM structures, and producer engagement models.
Exceptional cross-functional leadership and project management skills.
Passion for life insurance, wellness, longevity, and purpose-driven sales.
Licensing Requirements: Series 6 and Series 26 licenses are required for this role. Life & Health and/or Series 63 licensing may be required in the future, subject to evolving business needs.

Salary range is expected to be between
