Director, Account Management
Overview
As the Director, Account Management (AM), you will play a key role in building and nurturing relationships with banking clients, ensuring Mastercard’s products and services align with their strategic goals. This role focuses on delivering tailored solutions that help clients grow their business while contributing to Mastercard’s sustainable revenue growth.
The Role:
• Drive net revenue growth from assigned banking clients in alignment with Mastercard’s business objectives.
• Understand client needs and position Mastercard’s offerings to support their aspirations.
• Lead consultative engagements by translating client challenges into actionable solutions using Mastercard’s portfolio.
• Partner with internal teams to execute account strategies and deliver a seamless client experience.
• Formulate clear problem statements based on client goals and business context.
• Ensure Mastercard remains a relevant and trusted partner by delivering impactful, future-ready solutions.
All about You:
• Proven track record and experience ideally with a bank or payment infrastructure provider.
• Experience in client engagement, account management, or partnership development.
• Knowledge of the payment industry, including both technical and business aspects.
• Understanding of revenue and cost structures in banking, especially in consumer segments.
• Familiarity with financial payments P&L; experience in card business is beneficial.
• Ability to translate business needs into Mastercard-enabled solutions.
• Skilled in relationship-building, communication, and negotiation.
• Strategic mindset with a history of driving business outcomes.
• Comfortable working in English and proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical and numerical capabilities.
