Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking a Directed Energy Project Manager to support the Microwave Technologies and Systems Development Operation. The selected candidate will work closely with Government Representative Portfolio Manager for DE Research & Engineering (R&E) and Demonstration, Test, & Evaluation (DT&E) Program Managers, attending meetings, tracking technical, programmatic, and schedule goals, and coordinating actions across multiple projects focused on Directed Energy (DE) technologies. This role emphasizes project management responsibilities in a DoD environment, including hardware/software development, subcontractor coordination, and risk management. This role is highly collaborative and will require close daily interaction with leadership, program managers, engineers, and support staff to deliver Directed Energy technologies.
The Portfolio Integrator will:
- Partner with Government Representative Portfolio Manager for DE R&E and DT&E to oversee technical, schedule milestones, and budget across multiple programs, including hardware/software prototyping and delivery.
- Track progress against technical and programmatic milestones; identify variances in planned vs. actual expenditures and recommend corrective actions.
- Serve as Senior Analyst on select efforts, supporting customer engagement, deliverables (e.g., CDRLs), reporting, and alignment with contract requirements.
- Attend and support internal and external meetings, documenting discussions, generating action items, and ensuring closure, while acting as a liaison between government customers, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams.
- Manage integrated project schedules using tools like Microsoft Project, track budgets, subcontractor staffing, and risk registers, including maintaining risk management processes and facilitating risk reviews.
- Develop and deliver program documentation, including weekly status updates, monthly project reports, program management review (PMR) charts, contract deliverables, and proposals.
- Act as a point of contact between government and contractor technical teams, program managers, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives, with a focus on DE portfolio risk reduction.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical, business, or project management field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational, time management, and task management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts, including adaptability/flexibility and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in program communication and stakeholder coordination.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Microsoft Project, and tools like Office Timeline Pro+ or SharePoint.
- US Citizenship with an active Secret security clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of program management experience supporting DoD DE development programs.
- 5+ years of progressive experience supporting Directed Energy programs for organizations like US Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) or Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO), with strong emphasis on collaboration across agencies, government coordination, and inter-agency liaison roles.
- Experience supporting senior technical leaders or program managers in areas like risk arbitration, financial tracking (planned vs. actual), and cross-functional team oversight.
- Demonstrated experience in project or program management in an R&D or engineering environment, including subcontractor deliverables, invoice approvals, corrective actions, and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for processes like Risk and Opportunity Management Boards (ROMB), Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, and Stage Gates.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
