Primary Duties:

Develop Strategy of Organization Effectiveness, Culture and People to drive and best match R&D Center’s strategy

  • Develop the strategy with R&D LT at country level through diagnosing challenge/gap from organization, culture and people, implement plan by leveraging expertise and execution process support from PX functions.
  • Interactive communication and stakeholder engagement to leverage support/resources from other EF/PF functions together.
  • Actively coach leaders to support manager accountability for the success of their workforce by leading a team that provides coaching to help managers better manage their workforce.

Build and enable leadership capability and effectiveness

  • Design and lead innovative programs to further develop LT/Senior managers’ global mindset and innovative thinking.
  •  Play an active role in Talent Management strategies for R&D Center. Coach and support the Talent Management processes, strategies as well as. Assist the team in delivering an integrated talent supply chain focus.  Support to design recruitment strategies to build & attract new capabilities needed for the fast-changing business.
  • Lead team on leader and manager’s capability development through designing program and workshop, on-line resources recommendations, and face to face counseling/coaching.
  • Lead team to implement and follow up global culture/talent processes.
  • Promote and support global learning/talent development resources with line managers and employees. Maximize the potential of global programs.

Drive execution of PX events, processes and provide timely and effective coaching

  • Lead team to manage whole cycle of Performance Management – coach leaders and senior Managers on objective setting, mid-year review and yearend performance review including necessary capability enhancement, monitoring completion and poor performer management
  • Annual Compensation process – coach leaders and senior managers in compliance with global guidelines and Pfizer Compensation Philosophy to best use the compensation resource for the appropriate and effective recognition and reward management. e.g. eliminate C/R lower than minimum salary structure, provide retention advice for C/R higher than maximum, coach to managers who provide non-reasonable merit or GPP, support to promotion process and etc.
  • Initiate and lead on customized people retention project like low pay catch, and practice review by working with PX and across enabling functions.
  • Other PX events involvement including system optimization, data audit, benefits updates, policy review, long-term saving plan review with PX Team.

Change Management and culture

  • Work closely with R&D leaders and relevant stakeholders to prepare, plan, align and implement on people and organization change
  • Culture plans- CF lead is in the taskforce to establish a country wide culture platform on which R&D colleagues and other functions can share their stories to connect with each other.
  • Interactive communication with PX and business to facilitate the translation of business challenge into PX solutions by working closely with PX teams.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of change process, intervene and develop solution upon on needs

Employee Relations Management

  • Ensure that positive relationships are maintained with Unions/Colleague representative councils as required. Negotiate and resolve individual or group issues.
  • Manage ER & compliance investigations and reports at country level and oversee remediation action where applicable.
  • Lead team to build management capability to facilitate an effective employee relations environment by providing advice and counsel, and to help organization to avoid legal risk.

Qualifications, Training and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree essential. Higher qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • At least 10+ years PX experience deeply aligned to business, complemented with matrix  and with increasing responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills, written & verbal is an essential requirement
  • A proven track record of developing PX talent is essential
  • Deep experience in Change Management, leading transformation is needed.
  • Strength in coaching
  • Proven track record in Project Management and exceptional stakeholder engagement
