Your role

The Digital Transformation Portfolio Lead enables and coordinates business-led digital transformation initiatives across Saab Surveillance, with a focus on operational and enterprise use cases. The role establishes and governs the digital transformation portfolio, including demand intake, prioritization, and portfolio follow-up.

By defining operating models, methods, and best practices, the role ensures a structured and scalable approach to digitalization and new ways of working. Acting as an enabler rather than an owner of business value, the role supports cross-functional teams, aligns initiatives with IT governance, and creates transparency around maturity, scalability, and impact across the digital transformation landscape.

The role will be part of Surveillance Digital Transformation office, a forward-leaning central team at the COO Office. Working closely with colleagues in our various business units, as well as with experts in AI, Data, Change Management, and other key areas. The role will collaborate with transformation partners (internal and external), end-2-end value analysis teams, and leverage both Saab Business Area IT and Corporate IT digitalization capabilities to advance digitalization opportunities and push our transformation initiatives forward.

Your profile

The person we are looking for demonstrates strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, combined with high emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes. You are structured, systematic, and comfortable working with prioritization, governance, and follow-up. Through clear communication and strong change management capabilities, you engage and align stakeholders across business and tech.

Regarding experience and education, we are looking for someone with:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
• Experience working with digital transformation portfolios, programs, or complex initiatives in an enterprise environment
• A solid understanding of digital technologies and data-driven ways of working (e.g., automation, AI, analytics), without the need to be a deep technical specialist
• Experience in demand management, agile project management, portfolio governance, or cross-functional coordination
• Fluent in both Swedish and English

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience in end-to-end digital transformation delivery, including assessment, design, development, deployment, benefit tracking and scaling of digital solutions
• Experience with security, governance and compliance in digitalization projects, ensuring solutions are secure, compliant, and sustainable
• Experience with innovation- and hypothesis driven models
• Experience leading digital-driven transformation projects, preferably within complex, cross-functional environments (industries like tech, manufacturing, defense, as well as supporting functions such as finance, procurement, project management and quality)
• Understanding of transformation and improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Value Stream Mapping, Change Management, Design thinking) and how they integrate with digitalization initiatives
