We are currently recruiting for a Digtal Technology Specialist to work under the guidance of the Manager, Digital Technology to actively manage technology systems including local applications, systems & developer support, telephony, assets, compliance, MFD’s, electronic workflows, conference rooms and non-standard DT systems.
What You Will Do
Technology Vendor Management
- Work within framework for non-product vendor management
- Liaise with and monitor DT vendor performance for established vendor support processes including PO’s and invoice reconciliation
- Assist with and offer advice on vendor and technology selection projects & programmes
Process Compliance and Control
- Administer and control DT compliance
- activities to minimize risk
- Actively implement and utilise sound compliance processes in support of the technology systems.
- Design and implement solutions to technical and compliance issues.
- Carry out audits and complete required documentation in support of DT compliance efforts
System Development & Support & User Management
- Support and maintain SharePoint and intranet systems. Leverage Power platforms where appropriate.
- Provide local application/system, server and database support, including other out of scope systems, as required utilising SNOW to assist in logging, tracking, trending and queue/back log management.
- Facilitate scheduled software/application changes with developers in a managed and controlled way using SNOW where defined.
- Work as business focal for implementation of workflow solutions on available platforms
- Define and maintain standards for electronic work flow systems
- Utilise software development skillset to build and enhance local intranet and workflow systems
- Audit file shares for unnecessary duplication with an aim to optimize storage
- Operate as focal for user account queries related to accessing DT systems
- For locally controlled & ERP systems as required, carry out user password resets and account configuration activities.
- Facilitate staff Incident and Request reporting to DXC
Asset Management and Coordination
- Facilitate the life cycle changes of local assets, ie systems/applications and their hardware/software changes, documentation and CMDB/CI status.
- Manage patching, security and compliance of local infrastructure, ie Non-DXC supported assets (CHCEC printers config, exceptions etc).
- Manage patching and deployment of fixed telephony assets.
- Order required components from approved vendors
- Configure and test systems to ensure appropriate operation and compliance
- Manage access to visitor LAN system and other special equipment.
Support Functions and Quality
- Support publications control activity and provide backup for Technical Publications Officer
- Support procurement activities for DT
- Perform assigned duties in accordance with Company quality policies and system.
Environment Health & Safety
- Complying with EH&S requirements & safe workplace practices when performing duties with due concern for all other persons.
- Support improvements to eliminate or reduce workplace risks.
- Immediately reporting & responding as appropriate to any hazardous condition.
- Actively participating in any treatment or rehabilitation programmes that support an early return to work.
- Ensures compliance with EH&S rules, policies and procedures.
- Ensures that all correct PPE is issued and is being used by staff and visitors
Qualifications You Must Have
- NCEA Level 3
- Strong skills with MS Office product suite including SharePoint & Power platforms
- Attention to detail for standards compliance
- Web page and system development
- Experience in various computer software and administrative abilities.
- Data mining & manipulation experience with Excel / Python, SQL, Databricks, Power BI, or other methods.
Qualifications We Prefer
- NCEA Level 4 (or equivalent) in Information Technology/Systems
- Degree in Digital Technologies or relevant fields
- Information System troubleshooting capability
- Power BI reporting
