PRIMARY FUNCTION/GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION

Nordic Consulting Partners, Inc., headquartered in Madison, WI, has an opening available for a Digital Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst. Company headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. Residence and remote work permitted from anywhere within the U.S. Up to 10% local, regional, or national travel to HQ or client facilities.

Duties: The Digital Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst owns the strategy, planning & execution of QA and automated testing for digital products. The individual also works with customers and delivery team members to understand business requirements, identify candidates for automation solutions, and works with engineers to develop technical requirements and testing processes for implementation to achieve business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall testing approach, including automation design, application of best practices to achieve business goals.

  • Develop and evolve standards, design patterns, and best fit criteria to ensure that quality assurance and test automation solutions are easily maintained and reusable across use cases.

  • Be both business and technical facing with participation in discovery and design sessions to produce programmatic and test automation specifications, and able to implement software programs and automation processes to increase testing efficiency and accuracy.

  • Develop and manage cost estimates for testing solution delivery and ongoing maintenance.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business with a concentration in Information Technology, Management Information Services, or closely related (foreign equivalent degree accepted).

3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • As a Software QA Analyst, Accredited Solutions Expert, Senior Quality Assurance Engineer,  or closely related on a commercial test management or automation platform used for software

  • Implementing and managing test scenarios for functional code and automated solutions, and defining technical requirements and data setup needed for testing in non­production (development, test, and user acceptance) and production environments;

  • Building and communicating robust manual and automated test scenarios (both functional and non-functional) to identify defects and errors within lifecycle management solution tool;

  • Leading technical efforts or proof-of-concept to identify systems as eligible for automated testing;

  • Working in an Agile software development environment, using Scrum or Kanban methodologies;

  • Managing testing projects and leading software testing lifecycle, including defining testing standards, ownership of test strategy and design, requirements traceability, and accountability for test execution and defect tracking for software systems and implementations; and

  • Software development and lifecycle experience required for build and maintenance of programmatic or automation solutions.

Some experience required with Java programming, Microsoft languages, 3rd party electronic health record testing (e.g. Epic), and working with Saucelabs or equivalent automation programming libraries.

Must have valid industry certification for QA testing expertise (ISTQB certification).

Experience may be gained concurrently.
