Digital Marketing (Web & SEO) Summer Intern

Overview 

The Digital Marketing (Web & SEO) Intern will support Pacvue’s marketing team in maintaining and improving the company website while learning how websites drive inbound demand and pipeline generation. Through hands-on experience working with marketing, development, and content teams, the intern will gain exposure to website management, SEO fundamentals, marketing analytics, and emerging search trends including AI-driven discovery and LLM-based search experiences. 

Project Scope 

  • Assist with ongoing website updates and improvements within WordPress to maintain a seamless and high-performing user experience. 
  • Support SEO optimization efforts, including page structure, metadata updates, internal linking improvements, and content formatting under guidance from the marketing team. 
  • Assist with marketing website experimentation efforts including A/B testing of landing pages, CTAs, headlines, and page layouts to improve engagement and conversion. 
  • Support implementation and validation of website tracking through tools such as Google Tag Manager (GTM) to ensure accurate measurement of user behavior and marketing performance. 
  • Work cross-functionally with demand generation, social, lifecycle, and events teams to understand how website updates support marketing campaigns and pipeline generation. 
  • Assist in researching emerging search trends including AI search, LLM discovery, and citation tracking to understand how Pacvue’s content appears in AI-generated responses. 

Deliverables/Milestones 

  • Assist in optimizing a set of existing website pages or blog posts to improve SEO alignment, user experience, and engagement. 
  • Contribute to a structured audit of selected website pages to identify opportunities related to content structure, SEO optimization, and user flow. 
  • Support implementation or documentation of A/B tests on landing pages to evaluate engagement and conversion performance. 
  • Assist in validating website tracking events through Google Tag Manager to ensure marketing performance metrics are captured accurately. 
  • Compile research on AI-driven search results and LLM citation visibility for Pacvue content and summarize insights for the marketing team. 
  • Present key findings, insights, and recommendations to the marketing team at the end of the internship. 

Learning Objectives 

  • Gain hands-on experience managing and updating a marketing website using WordPress. 
  • Learn the fundamentals of SEO and performance content marketing in a B2B SaaS environment. 
  • Develop an understanding of how marketing websites support inbound demand generation, lead capture, and pipeline growth. 
  • Gain exposure to marketing technology platforms, including HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console. 
  • Learn how website experimentation works through A/B testing and conversion optimization. 
  • Develop familiarity with Google Tag Manager and website event tracking used to measure marketing performance. 
  • Gain early exposure to AI-driven search trends, including LLM discovery and citation tracking. 
  • Learn how cross-functional marketing teams collaborate across demand generation, social media, lifecycle marketing, and events. 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Interest in digital marketing, SEO, or website management
  • Familiarity with website or CMS tools (e.g., WordPress) is a plus
  • Basic understanding of SEO or web analytics concepts
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (email, Slack)
  • Curious and eager to learn about marketing and emerging AI search trends

Location/Time Zone Preference: United States 

This is an hourly, remote summer internship for college students, offering 20-35 hours per week at a rate of $20 per hour. 
This role is available for our 9-week summer cohort running from May 18 – July 17.
