About The Job
The Digital Marketing Manager shares the story of Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo by leveraging all digital platforms available, through innovation, inspiration and storytelling. This role supports the Director of Public Relations & Digital MARCOM in executing strategies in digital marketing, social media, content development, and online reputation management, and measures success through outcomes supported by weekly management of analytics and reporting. This position requires a strong background in strategy and content development, deep knowledge of social media and digital marketing tactics, planning and campaign development, reputation management, campaign performance, and a passion for the luxury landscape in addition to strong project management skills. The individual must be a productive self-starter capable of managing multiple projects, strong at multi-tasking, prioritization, collaborating with internal departments, and leading external agency partner relations.

Responsibilities

Social Media and Digital

  • Lead the development of a monthly social media calendar and develop a social grid for monthly posts across our organic social channels (must align with property priorities, holidays and seasonality) incorporating x4 weekly posts.
  • Create curated content with direction from the Director of Public Relations to ensure the properties monthly social strategy amplifies key messages, tells an aspirational property story and is innovative in the social space while representing the Four Seasons brand identity.
  • In partnership with the Director of PR & Digital MARCOM, oversee the paid media content strategy and creative refreshes quarterly.
  • Manage, monitor and respond to inquiries for the resort’s presence on Social Media networks (primarily Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) in conjunction with input and support from the Director of PR & Digital MARCOM.
  • Manage social media platforms including Traackr, Social Native & Sprout.
  • In partnership with the Director of PR & Digital MARCOM, manage SEO implementation strategy with an external agency partner.
  • With direction and assistance from Director of PR & Digital MARCOM, update and maintain property website, app and external booking engines within the corporate standards, and maintain current image library and video footage to maximize media coverage.
  • Responsible for guest and community engagement on relevant social media platform channels.
  • Knowledgeable about UGC and educated on current programs to help integrate proper UGC into a social strategy.
  • Monitor online social reputation for the Resort (Hotel and Outlets) and respond to reviews across all relevant websites, including review sites such as Revinate, Google, Trip Advisor, Facebook, Yelp, etc.
  • Manage content creation and implementation for all (integrated) social media initiatives and web content with PR Agency/Contractor and DOSM.
  • Lead regular and seasonal contributions to Corporate social media initiatives and implement local social media partnerships for cross-promotional opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal departments to resolve customer service issues in digital spaces and provide clear social direction to each department at the Resort, ensuring all conceptual and creative ideas meet objectives and timelines.
  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge of the changing social landscape to initiate conversations and build relationships with luxury and travel influencers on a consistent basis.
  • Assist with video and photo shoots at the hotel as well as create new, on-brand photography for social media posts as needed.
  • In charge of managing share drive content including uploading property images into the brand-level galleries.
  • Set quarterly benchmarks goals, always pivoting when necessary, based on data; use key competitors (local and international), identify local market insights and consistency have your finger on the pulse of what’s new in the luxury space (fashion, travel, retail) to determine opportunities to improve our digital content and solutions.

Reporting

  • Own social media analytics, manage monitoring tools, and create a merged reporting system to ensure all relevant data across reporting platforms tells a complete story.
  • Own FS.Com analytics reporting.
  • Create and share a monthly digital and social media analytics presentation that highlights strengths, weaknesses, and key learnings.
  • Manage creative trafficking, analyzing results, and reporting.
     

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, content creation, partner and project management
  • A self-starter attitude and motivation to think outside of the box creatively.
  • A background in managing agency partners and working cross-functionally with internal departments.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and customer acquisition.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and presentation-building skills.
  • Strong, effective, and direct communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write copy, and speak fluently in both English and Spanish.
  • Requires a working technical knowledge of digital marketing and management platforms.
