THE ROLE
 

The Digital Manufacturing Intern role, with the Digital Technology and Business skills/competencies listed below, would join our internship program with a year-round commitment. We are looking for a technology enthusiast who can help us in managing our local lab while also assisting the local Digital Technology team on creating demos across client computing, datacenter, and Internet of Things business groups. This internship is intended to begin in May 2026 and would be onsite in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Working closely with the Digital Technology team and business specialists to learn and experiment with technologies related to AI, Computer Vision, Internet of things, among others.
  • Assisting the team with demonstrations, i.e., help them show the customers how to convert technologies and solutions into valuable business opportunities.
  • Managing the lab, being your main responsibilities: keep control of the assets, preparing and testing hardware for customer demos, and assist with purchase orders.
  • Producing technical documentation to make demos easier to conduct.
  • Working with SolidWorks CAD and a high-end 3D printer for rapid prototyping.
  • Configuring and testing shop floor server and sensor systems for use in a manufacturing environment.
  • Configuring and supporting advanced server and PLC controller systems in the lab environment.
  • Learning about current and new Digital Technologies and training yourself in any area of your interest.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Active student of Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication, Data/Statistics or related majors.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week over the summer.
  • Interest of laboratory operations.

WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT

  • Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) design and implementation.
  • Have created your own personal computer lab/IoT environment.
  • Technical qualifications and experience related to Cloud e.g. Azure/AWS.
  • Experience with CAD software.

Pay Range:

$18.00 - $37.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
