Job Summary:
The Digital & IT Financial Ops Controller mission is to oversee and manage financial accounting, billing, reporting, transaction processing, and control activities of Digital & IT. This position supports Business and Digital & IT teams in their IT business model management (costing, pricing, depreciation, budget, re-forecast, value creation, etc). He/She has to ensure the internal customers are billed for products and services provided to them according to agreed terms and conditions (pricing model).
The Digital & IT Financial Ops Controller has to report financial performance and thereby support decision making by helping to predict and thereby controlling Digital & IT spend. He/She will help shape the strategic planning in close coordination with key stakeholders from finance, business and operations.
Furthermore, the Digital & IT Financial Ops Controller will be responsible for driving the improvement of processes and procedures within the Digital & IT teams in order to make interactions between teams seamless and effective.
Key Responsibilities
Support Digital & IT managers to manage both the cost and value created by digital solutions.
Analyze and consolidate IT spending and value creation in all Americas entities, inclusive of that spent by IT departments directly and by business and corporate functions.
Define allocation policies and processes to charge business services based on their consumption.
Quantify the value creation of Digital & IT for existing products and services and for new projects.
Support Digital & IT managers to identify efficiency opportunities and monitor them for their respective team.
Identify areas for improvement in existing IT processes, procedures, and workflows by actively engaging all IT groups and departments.
Develop and implement new IT processes, procedures, and workflows that enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Digital & IT department.
Provide dashboards with an overall performance overview of all products and services.
Define with stakeholders reports and KPIs to monitor and measure the effectiveness of IT processes and procedures, and make recommendations for further improvements.
Assist Digital & IT managers in target preparation and follow up throughout the year.
Assist Product Managers to provide accurate data / explanations on invoicing to clusters.
Be the interface of the finance department.
Prepare, coordinate and communicate on monthly, quarterly, or annual closing activities (Flash) and be the point of contact for Group CIO Office finance teams (in particular for the IT Costs reporting).
Report IT financial performance, analyze variance (budgeted costs versus actual costs) and support budget decision making.
Process and validate invoices and provide payment authorisation to corporate finance for supplier / vendor payments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related discipline
5+ years experience in two of the three areas: Business/Operations, Finance, IT, or Project Management
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and understanding of Business process in the scope of WBL/WBU/Corporate Function 's activities
Demonstrating knowledge of group financial and accounting principles and standards
Strong understanding of the business supported (services sold, customers, cost structure, pricing, ongoing projects, efficiencies to generate...)
Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills;
Pedagogical and ability to conduct change management;
Excellent facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills, including the ability to gain cross-departmental consensus.
