About the team

Corporate Relations protects and strengthens Diageo’s reputation and license to operate. We support the business to perform today while building trust for the long term. The Global Employee Engagement team sits within Global Brand and Communications, our center of excellence for reputation, communications and engagement. We connect our people to our strategy, priorities and performance - across internal communications, engagement, financial communications, global supply communications, Brand Diageo and issues and crisis management. Our focus is simple: help our people understand where we are going, why it matters and what it means for them - so they can do their best work.

About the role

This role sits in the Global Employee Engagement team and is responsible for the quality and performance of our core global employee channels. You will manage and optimise our primary platforms - including SharePoint and Viva Engage - ensuring they are clear, current and aligned to business priorities. You will lead the global content calendar and news grid, bringing structure and discipline to what we publish and when. That includes maintaining strong governance and ensuring a consistent drumbeat of communication that reflects what matters most to the business. This is a hands-on role. You will manage day-to-day channel performance while continuously improving the experience through data, insight and digital best practice. Success in this role means our people can quickly find what matters, understand what’s changing and engage with the business in a meaningful way.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Ownership & Governance

  • Manage Diageo’s core global digital channels including SharePoint, Viva Engage and Poppulo
  • Ensure content is relevant, high quality and aligned to business priorities
  • Lead the global content calendar and news grid, providing clear governance and coordination across channels
  • Maintain publishing standards, workflows and moderation to protect quality and consistency

Content & Campaign Delivery

  • Create and curate globally relevant content aligned to our strategy and performance priorities
  • Activate major business moments across internal channels, including financial results and key engagement events
  • Advise leaders and teams on channel use and message clarity
  • Write, edit and produce high-quality written and multimedia content
  • Encourage and amplify strong employee-generated content

Adoption, Best Practice & Experience

  • Drive sustained adoption of internal digital and social platforms
  • Champion accessibility, user experience and strong content design
  • Build and maintain intuitive SharePoint environments with clear information architecture

Data, Insight & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and maintain channel analytics, dashboards and monthly reporting
  • Use insight to improve content quality, reach and engagement
  • Stay current on digital trends and recommend practical enhancements

Stakeholder & Partner Management

  • Partner with Technology teams to maintain stable, high-performing platforms
  • Manage external partners including Microsoft and digital agencies
  • Scope and deliver digital projects from onboarding through implementation and optimisation

About You

  • Proven experience managing global internal digital channels, including SharePoint and Viva Engage; experience with Microsoft 365 tools strongly preferred

  • Demonstrable track record in internal communications, digital content strategy and channel optimization

  • Strong data literacy, with experience building reports, dashboards and scorecards to measure performance and inform decisions

  • Excellent understanding of digital governance, content workflows and stakeholder management

  • Strong grasp of digital accessibility standards and user experience principles

  • Confident content creator with the ability to write, edit and produce multimedia assets to a high standard

  • Strong external antenna for content trends and storytelling formats that drive reach and impact

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and providing constructive challenge

  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced global environment

  • Strong collaborator, experienced working cross-functionally and across markets

  • Experience managing agencies and third-party partners

  • Proactive, solutions-oriented and continuously looking to improve how digital channels deliver value
