As a Digital Content Creator I, you will provide daily written content by developing weekly assignments that focus on a specific type of health-related content for a dedicated section of the Cleveland Clinic website. In this role, you will create trustworthy, easy-to-understand health information that aligns with Cleveland Clinic’s standards for accuracy and clarity. You will collaborate closely with SEO, operations, and graphics teams, as well as partners across Marketing & Communications and departments throughout Cleveland Clinic to ensure content is optimized, engaging, and clinically sound.

A caregiver in this position works remotely within Ohio, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with flexibility.

Minimal travel is required, limited to one team retreat per year.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Write accurate, high-quality medical content that’s consistent with Cleveland Clinic’s brand voice.

  • Research health topics and/or interview clinical sources.

  • Translate complex medical and scientific information into accessible and comprehensive language for patients and the general public.

  • Understand style guides and SEO keyword best practices.

  • Consistently meet writing deadlines.

  • Incorporate edits from subject matter experts, including medical reviewers, into finished copies.

  • Seek out and engage regularly with peers, creating an environment of exchange and learning. Openly share successes and failures to promote the group’s collective learning.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • One year of experience writing, editing, researching and preparing material for publication

  • OR High School/GED and five years of experience

  • OR Associate’s degree and three years of experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of colleagues.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with an ability to prioritize, solve problems and set expectations

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, English, healthcare or closely related field

  • Understand style guides and SEO keyword best practices

  • Healthcare experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to do computer work for extended periods.

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment if required at a hospital location assignment.
