Digital Competency Centre Administrator

Purpose & Scope of the role

We are looking for a proactive and well-organized professional to manage and expand our new Digital Competency Centre in Chennai, India. The role is primarily to manage and support the Site Director in competency centre management activities coupled with facilitating hiring processes.

  

Key Responsibilities and Job Content

  • Together with the Site Director, ensures a compliant and welcoming office environment.

  • Be the site focal point for all site and office related matters.

  • Manage Office equipment, IT Infrastructure coordination, and basic tech support in close collaboration with our global Digital colleagues

  • Build and continuously update onboarding and operation information via a dedicated communication site.

  • Onboarding of new employees on the site in collaboration with Digital and Country HR onboarding and offboarding.

  • Act as an ambassador for people-related topics aligned with Rockpulse engagement survey (internal people survey)

  • Handle smaller procurement tasks, invoice handling and other ad hoc administrative tasks

  • Support and be advocate for ROCKWOOL’s four values:

What you bring

  • 5–7 years of experience in office administration, operations, or a similar role

  • Familiarity with basic IT coordination or workplace tech (e.g., printers, network setup, remote support tools)

  • Previous exposure to HR coordination or recruitment support is a must

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

  • Fluent in English and Tamil (spoken and written)
