The Digital CSA for Microsoft Security E5 drives measurable customer outcomes by aligning technical delivery to strategic business objectives across Data Security, Threat Protection (XDR), and Identity/Zero Trust. This role supports how to operationalize the full Microsoft Security E5 suite (Purview, Defender XDR, Entra/Zero Trust) and deliver tangible risk reduction, compliance, and operational excellence. The CSA partners with stakeholders to define success criteria, co-create outcome-focused plans, and ensure every engagement accelerates time-to-value, de-risks adoption, and supports the customer’s transformation journey. The Digital CSA Leader for Microsoft Security E5 is pivotal in aligning technical solutions with strategic business objectives, focusing on Data Security, Threat Protection (XDR), and Identity/Zero Trust. This role involves operationalizing the full Microsoft Security E5 suite—Purview, Defender XDR, and Entra/Zero Trust—to achieve significant risk mitigation, compliance, and operational excellence. By collaborating closely with stakeholders, the CSA defines success criteria, co-develops outcome-driven strategies, and ensures engagements enhance time-to-value, minimize adoption risks, and advance the client's transformation journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the adoption of advanced security controls, including MIP labels, DLP (Endpoint DLP), IRM, DSPM, Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, and Identity Protection.
Manage Defender XDR workloads, such as MDE, MDO, MDI, and MDA.
Lead customers through Zero Trust modernization, retiring legacy identity dependencies, onboarding apps to modern authentication, and enforcing staged Conditional Access and PIM rollouts.
Align data, identity, and device posture by integrating Purview, Entra, and Defender controls for comprehensive protection.
Register and track usage commitments, milestones, and outcomes in enterprise reporting systems, maintaining precise reporting hygiene.
Coach customers on incident investigation and SOC workflows across Entra, Defender XDR, and Purview signals.
Coordinate handoffs to Unified Delivery or partners for advanced configurations, deep-dive SOC runbooks, or complex policy programs.
Required Qualifications:
Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Security E5 workloads, including Purview, Defender XDR, and Entra ID P2.
Strong understanding of data governance, compliance frameworks, Zero Trust principles, and incident response.
Experience in documenting repeatable accelerators and maintaining milestone hygiene.
Excellent communication skills for both technical and executive audiences, linking technical adoption to business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in SOC or Incident Response workflows and comfort with automated investigation and response.
Consulting background in outcome-based delivery, especially within regulated industries and multi-cloud environments.
Familiarity with Adaptive Protection, insider risk signals, Sentinel attach motions, and data lifecycle governance.
Experience with planning legacy identity retirements and app migration to modern authentication.
Additional Competencies:
Solid understanding of core security concepts, frameworks, and Microsoft security solutions, with the ability to identify security risks and recommend appropriate next steps.
Foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365 workloads, understanding their integration with security solutions.
Ability to identify partner offers or Microsoft solutions that address specific customer challenges, diagnosing scenarios and aligning them with the appropriate solutions.
Competence in assessing customer environments, classifying issues, and determining appropriate remediation or engagement strategies.
Certifications:
Defender for Endpoint/XDR Ninja Training (or equivalent).
IAPP CIPM/CIPP or equivalent industry data protection credential.
Microsoft Sentinel/SIEM-related skilling
